My money is on thew new BOD as they are most likely all on the ground and have been or can do the job much better than those enjoying London life and provide lip and paper services only for so many years ....!

in 2013 when a major investor (alpcot) requested the removal of directors from the board via an EGM we also got an offer for the company (£2.45 or £3.13 if same dollar offer made given change in FX), voted down at the same EGM..

I wonder if one will be forthcoming this time around

who knows, if the EGM proposals go through, perhaps they'll reinstate the 2018 divi :-)

At current share price / FX that represents a 18.5% yield

Amargosa, Darren, the port was in trouble but can be turned around with our putting a fair bit through it and if he gets full control of UEN and his men in place we could get that loan I think we all agree we need to get this going forward quickly.
Again who knows. It's just a matter of trust at the end of the day that he doesn't screw us.

The 45% shareholder doesn't need to save himself from anything - the BoDs started slinging the mud and crashed the share price. It was inevitable, with all that power, he would remove the Bods.

Will it end well for shareholders? We can only watch and try to enjoy the ride!!

seems like Rusinov/Proxima have form for replacing entire board...



the company is still listed on exchange so detracts from the argument of some chancers on here that it'll be delisted.

Not a massive improvement in share price since the takeover of this company but its still listed and has insreased by ~80% (more until very recently)

chav - hes the most likely candidate I can find, given his background is Oil + Russia related. He also finished his last position in September - given when this debacle broke, it all fits...

His CV looks detailed and is public (unlike most), I'm not sure from the looks of it he'd like a blemish on that.

Kononov has had 4 years to do the dirty but hasn't; and out of all of us he has the most skin in the game. Could it be that he is our saviour after all?

Btw, Kononov already has the means to use Company funds - the board gave him that when they appointed him President of the Russian operations - he chose to use the funds to take control of the port, not stitch up the shareholders of UEN.

Oh for that time machine!

No mention of loan repayments, or debt position! Mr Kon will now be able to do as he pleases with company funds. You have to wonder, did the DOD blow the whistle on Mr Kon's loans because they were going to be fired!

HAHA, finally they kicks off the useless BOD who does little work and getting paid well for living in London ! This is well planed takeover , and make every sense for all shareholders (BOD has 3%), carry on trading and MA with the biggy field. ADD NOW !
