Quite a lot of volume today and no movement in price which is strange for UEN!

Given the directors have released all relevant news now I think it would be a good time for them to invest some of their own money here and buy on the open market, rather than just rely on shares awards -will show they have confidence in the company!!

For argument sake, lets jus stick to the what we know. The tanker loading in July of 158k and the same amount in Oct, so that givs us 316k barrels x $75 = $23.7m. That basically means turnover is approx 2.5 times the current mkt cap, without taking into account south dagi, value of cpr, local sales etc. Unbelievable!

Ref 69820. So the ideal situation for the Articneft shipment is for low oil prices in the 3 months to the shipment then a gigantic spike just as the oil is shipped and for 5 days after this.

Sounds crazy. But it might just work. Or it might not.

Please justify your posts of " Broker note 35p".

I remember the same figure being quoted by a broker years ago before our recent twenty to one consolidation .
Check the date I think the brokers note will be 2008 not 2018

35p x 20 = £7.00 current equivalent value.

I can’t see why people would be selling now considering the turnover to be more the mkt cap. The only thing i can think of is people settling their T trades.

Almost a third down from last weeks high this share is driving me mad. Hope the next few months makes this steady out but patience is being tested to the limit

Mr Shrager, Chairman commented: "The results for the first half of 2017 were affected by the fact that Mineral Extraction Tax payable on our Kolgyuev Island shipment in June was determined by the oil price in April to May. The oil price had stayed in a range of US $50 to 55 bbl. between April and May, but fell to around $44 bbl. in June around the time of loading, which is the basis for our contractual terms.

Tanker shipment update

The price per barrel for the tanker shipment announced on 31 October 2017 has now been confirmed as US$62.15 per barrel. This pricing is based on the arithmetic average of the quotations for Brent DTD published in "Platts Crude Oil Marketwire" for the five days after the date of the bill of lading.

Current Brent price US$75.3

Given the rally in oil over the last few days, it’s not looking like a bad thing the tanker didn’t ship out last week!

Hopefully tomorrow will see some sanity return after people have had a chance to digest the CPR, especially the massive reserves in Komi.

The additional work-overs planned for South Dagi, after getting the additional equipment, will hopefully allow for us to reach the 2000 bopd for that field alone. That with current production will take us to 4000 bopd.

It’s just a pity the management can’t provide a positive sounding RNS to announce things!

Food for thought chav!! But courage in your convictions. The drill result south dagi good. Tanker profit, jv potential. All good.

I agree on all points Darren. The message is in a round about way there for placement but it doesn't add up if divi is to be paid. Rns is their weak point. They can make good news very down beat and dower, there timing is lousy and seemingly little thought of how it will look or go down in the way it has been composed. At the last spike not only did they miss a golden opportunity to send the share price on by explaining why the price was moving north they distroyed it by saying "we see no reason".
They seem to learn nothing.

Obviously not great with decrease in production but let’s wait and see how the drill at south Dagi go, if it goes well then all will be forgiven! If not they have to sack the in-house drill team and whichever director signed off using them again, after all their recent failures, should be removed.

The CPR looks very impressive and if just that was released months ago, when it was supposed to, this would’ve been multiples of current SP!

The writing of the RNS wasn’t great either, it seemed rushed/amateurish!! They really need to get some decent PR company to write them going forward!!

I don’t believe there will be any placement, especially at current SP, they’d need to issue a lot of shares to get a decent amount of cash. Also there is no way they could pay a divi and then have a placement, it makes zero sense. I think that idea can be discounted! I read that they are looking for partners to invest to help develop the fields from that section.

Let’s wait to see what the next few months bring. I think the tone of the RNS lead to the drop today, the content didn’t warrant it!

"Average daily production at Petrosakh declined, as expected, from 1,275 bbls/day in 2016 to 1,079 bbls/day in 2017. Production has now been stabilised at an average of 930 bbls/day through work overs of existing wells."

Current daily production is 730 bbls/day I am told.

Collapse in production is really bad news.

Thanks Gaffer, the implication is there right enough in the last bit.

It may not be altogether a bad thing as long as it doesn't dilute to much and gets things going much quicker boosting the coffers.

Chav,"The Board is pleased to announce that Brandon Hill Capital Limited has been appointed as the Group's Financial Adviser to introduce strategic partners such as oilfield services companies and investors, with the aim of forming joint venture partnerships or other suitable structures, and/or raising capital for our development projects for Articneft and in Komi"

Just been looking on the LSE board and a few guys wanting to buy can't, the mm's won't let them buy anything on line. Tells a bit of a story!

Not much in the buy/sell today and buyers being held back.
