I too suspect the divi is related to Adlers large stake a return.
Many here including myself believe the money should stay in Urals to help with their expansion plans of long term growth but we don't hold 45% of the company .
This payment is for all to see and fair to all holders big or small better that way than a behind closed door deals when only a few prosper.imo.
We need good results,new investors and a reduction in the 'world oil glut'. Then our share price will rise .Not a lot to ask. lol.
The untimely oil price dip is disappointing but Russia's economy is oil based and need to encourage continued production.

Why would it deter shorters Steve73? I don't follow. Many companies get shorted that have nice divvies...

One good thing about divi's is that it puts off the shorters, although I agree for a small co such as us, it could probably be better deployed elsewhere
to grow the business.

Well said though tone. And today's news about criminal charges for Barclays top execs for the 2008 deal with Qatar. £322m in fees....

And the Grenfell Tower occupants were getting £10 vouchers to start with...

They won't go to jail anymore than Fred, and any fines we pay one way or another.

I accept a dividend is a nice thing to have on a very large and stable company but aside from attracting some investors we otherwise wouldn't it would be far better to use the cash to expand our assets and grow the business beyond AIM.

IMHO. For now we just need some of the positivity those guys you met implied broadcast beyond our little band of PIs. Would you feel pleased at under 6p six weeks after your meeting tone? It is teetering on resistance levels I certainly didn't expect, and I don't think it is macro oil price related...yet.

Crikey, oil took a fall. Brent $45.61 & WTI $42.94. Something magic has to happen in next week or so to get us a good return.

Nine business days Chav. End of first half, much achieved and presumably to be announced so if Allenby have not at least issued a brief note then we must wonder whether the UEN board want them to...

Divvies for the major shareholders and directors and the very few of us with a significant holding does not make this an investable proposition because it is AIM. We are a capital gains investment or nothing IMHO.

Haven't said much as nothing really to add at the moment as most on here is just speculative noise My thoughts are well dicumented but totally agree on divi, great way for Schvets to get something back, just like interest if he'd put his money in the bank.

I suppose it isn't likely that all of this consolidation malarchy was simply a way for Adler to make millions through the divvy programme proposed as their investment was substantially a loser for four years?

They certainly were buying up to around 240p (12p x 20) during the Fire East take over battle, and turned down an offer in the region of that level soon thereafter, so they may well be simply raiding the coffers.

End of June is a mere nine business days away so we should anticipate the promised announcements on tanker delivery, cash flow, well drill targets reached and 2P reserves upgraded to fully reflect competent persons standards, not to mention wider acquisition plans and a comprehensive broker note, any day now.

Otherwise it may be a slow drift down as the BoD milk the company again...

Is silence golden? Both from the company and this board.

I reckon in the next few days the mm's will mess with this on nothing to get something going.
I suppose many are has disappointed as me in that this has dropped about 10% since the rns when in fact there has been more buy than sell in that time.
We are not on our own tho since the Conservative balls up.
