Just studying the report more closely, the loss was £719,364 predominantly administrative expenses...the company had 2 placings this year, one in February and one in July of £250k & £470k respectively which add up to £720,000 (a coincidence?)Shareholders do not mind directors and staff being paid well but as long as there is appreciation in the share price or a dividend. In this case investors do not expect a dividend but an appreciation in the share price which clearly has not happened during the 12 months covered by the reportI hope we can expect a very positive update from Saouaf very soon so that investors minds can be focused away from the nearly £14k a week needed to run the company

"These funds are being deployed to progress the technical studies in Tunisia and to develop the new licence opportunities to a negotiation stage."At least some clarity on the £470k but not quite 'closing deals'Need to be more careful in the language they use since it is all on record. Let's hope the Zoom fiasco was the kick up the backside the board and their PR team needed to get their house in order

Subtle rewriting of history in the latest document...A further GBP470,000 was raised in July (after the year-end) to progress the Company's projects in Tunisia and opportunities in Sarawak and Brunei.

"... we have recently begun to see very promising results from our work in Tunisia specifically identifying a highly promising sub-salt play, new for the Saouaf area but well proven in Algeria and Morocco."This is the bit that caught my attention Any thoughts?

True, I was left with the same impression from both meetings that Saouaf was going to be the main focus of attention for now. They did say end of October or early November (if memory serves me right) and the board all seemed excited about it so not long to see if the excitement was well foundedHowever, as I have said before, part of the £470k was to close new deals and I expect them to tell us if they have fallen through or still crossing the t's and dotting the i's. I am sure those who participated in the placing will want to know more than the rest of us lol!

Time for a stiff whiskey I think Spangle 😄.
I doubt they will even surprise us on Tunisia let alone anything else.
A week on Sunday and we are in to November. The zoom meeting seemed to suggest definite news then.

Yogaboy - ah, but the fund raise in July noted "The funds will be used to progress technical and commercial workstreams relating to the Company's projects in Tunisia and South East Asia"

So maybe they will surprise us, and just for a change, positively this time.

Or it could be Friday evening and time for fantasizing

Tyler, if I recall correctly it was stated in the Q&A of one of the two Zoom conferences that Tunisia is the focus of attention now. I got the distinct impression that means there is no potential for news from anywhere else in the foreseeable future. Watch Tunisia. All the eggs are in a basket labelled Tunisia.

I think most have lost interest and belief in anything said here tyler so I am not sure an update would make much difference. Only solid news will make a difference.

The company and its PR consultants may not appreciate this close scrutiny but to rebuild the trust with shareholders and to gain new investors there is a need for regular transparent updates. RNS' cost money so even if the broker, Optiva, or the PR team put out a short statement that things are going as planned then that would reassure shareholders

"The proceeds of this fund raise will be deployed on value adding activities such as the work programme for the Saouaf Permit in Tunisia and to close new identified and screened opportunities in both South East Asia and North Africa."Over 14 weeks since the £470k was raisedI believe the work programme is progressing in Saouaf and a RNS is expected end of October or start of Nov....would be good to know if this is on track?Still no further mention of any closing of 'new identified and screened opportunities"....would be good to know if that part of the 'value adding activities' is still on track too? Also progress on the hunt for a new CEO?
