9 weeks tomorrow since £470,000 was raised in a placing and the share price has not moved since. The interim CEO needs to provide an honest update ASAP. On 14 July this below:"The proceeds of this fund raise will be deployed on value adding activities such as the work programme for the Saouaf Permit in Tunisia and to close new identified and screened opportunities in both South East Asia and North Africa. Capital will allow us to acquire new modern data and apply new concepts and new interpretations to proven producing basins to define new plays, prospects and to re-assess fallow discoveries. We look forward to updating shareholders further on all ongoing projects in due course."Y

After tip toe sheepishly informing the Mrs of this mornings RNS i tentatively suggested - in the most woolly way imaginable, that perhaps we might have a crisis meeting over a strong pot of chow. Not on your nelly was the instant rebuff as she fixed me with a cold flat stare from deepest winter. She announced, “ It’s great news!” And then - seeing as the matter had been fully discussed and was now fully closed - she left in a dismissive swirl Count Dracula would have been proud of. I stood there a long moment in the frosty silence, breathing out heavy white clouds of relief. Just now, 8 hours later, I realise she was absolutely right. UPL weren’t happy with what they had, and want to do much much better. And that is very great news indeed. Bravo!

Things moving too slow is the reason. Last 2 CEO's underestimated the level of frustration from cornerstone investors. Maybe need somebody from that region who will hit the ground running and is au fait with how business is conducted in them circles

Well may be third time lucky with the next CEO but given the track record here I am not sure anyone half decent would want it.

Bolhassan only holds 11 million shares. Nor a Zacharia is the 120 million shareholder.

Haha! mm's scaring peeps into selling but look at the volume and there is a 1m buy too!The mantra 'buy when everybody is selling' is applicable here but please DYOR and AIMHO. The CEO was not sacked, he has been moved to where he is going to be hopefully more effective.

Flipping eck TheJABA 2p by Xmas, that's a bold statement.
But didn't Bolhassen put CP in that position?
It's obvious what the market thinks of it, much as I do, shambolic.

Joking aside, I was critical of the company before going away and felt Chris was falling behind.I think the jigsaw pieces are there, they just need the right person to fit them all together.Even temporarily, I would rather have somebody who holds a major stake in the company to be at the helm to get the right person because it will benefit his personal wealth apart from anyone else

Soul Probably in a better place than CP being there.Let's be honest he has done nothing in 12 months besides breathe and take a salary. At least bolhassan with his 120m odd shares is aligned to us. I think he will have us at 2p plus by Xmas

Yes definitely the holiday tyler. Hope you had a good time.

Looks like another set back to me and a waste of 11mths. I would hardly say that is quick to find someone is out of his depth.

Did not expect to come back to an increased share price and UPL did not disappoint me on that one.Another MoU is positive and so is the sideways movement of the CEO.Nothing personal against the ex-CEO but, although he meant well, he was out of his depth and the pandemic did not help.I am glad the BoD realised this very quickly and have taken action. Many companies cannot see when things are not going according to plan.Must be the holiday but feel like today's news is actually positive for the future direction of the company

I sold out, at profit, in the couple of weeks after the RNS, one before this. It was clear little progress had been made. Took a while to get the volume through but they all went at a 5-12% profit. Today's RNS has supported my position. Will watch from the sidelines.

But where does that leave us TheJaba? The last raising was to close deals, it's not happening? And what does that say about those making the decisions.
I hear Ronald McDonald is looking for another challenge.
