15/8/2018 19:53 | Since LS is unlisted I don't think it has a market cap. As for the value of its assets, you need to apply a pretty big discount to allow for the fact that the building in Zhongshan is tied up for the foreseeable future. It's OT for this board, but I suspect the arbitration is being stretched out deliberately to try to force LS to take pennies on the pound. Edit: Although I bought some more UVEL during the run-up to the LSH demerger, hoping for a payout, UVEL itself has proved to be such a good investment that anything from LHS will be a bonus. I never paid more for a UVEL share than it would have been worth without LHS, in fact I always paid much less. While I'd love to get full value for LHS I don't really expect it any more. You win some and you lose some, and overall UVEL is a big win, whatever happens with LHS. | zangdook
15/8/2018 18:06 | I had some shares stuck in Australia from 2003 until 2008. The shares went from 35c to $23.30, I would have sold out long before that. Some bought into Univision at 0.25p though most will have exited on the run up close to 5p. The second largest holders have stayed with Univision no matter what the price, kinda says something about the company. One day we may find out what's happening at the hived off subsidiary Leader Smart. My view is to bring it back into Univision again - no one takes notice of me so it doesn't matter I suppose. A one share in Univision for two shares in Leader Smart would be something quite acceptable - 51% of Zhongshan Mall of Leader Smart is valued somewhere between £13m and £16m so it could be a good move. The Huangshan Hotel Complex is difficult to value due to the loan structure versus asset valuation. Updated 16/08/2018 - thanks zangdook | noirua
15/8/2018 10:10 | Bought a few last couple of days. Could be a spikey day on results | mikeh30
15/8/2018 10:08 | I did too, still have holding hemmed in at liquidator of Beaufort securities, but have bought a few more recently.Good start to the day. Buying at this price should be justified when results come out. | wi1l
14/8/2018 16:09 | Bought in! I had some of these years ago, at the time they owned the shopping mall. Lets see what happens. Not holding my breath but the market cap is enticing. | loadsamonay
14/8/2018 11:42 | It needs nerves made of rubber rather than steel as this stock gyrates on the slightest puff of wind. | noirua
14/8/2018 07:10 | Judging by what happened yesterday the results won't come out until Fri pm! Share price will be about 4p+ by then! Will be interesting to find out how they have done in first 4 months of this year, will give an indication as to how profitable the ye 31/03/19 will be. | wi1l
13/8/2018 11:20 | Announcement back in April 2018. Income from the £38m contracts (present exchange rate) was £500K in the year ending March 31 2018, the sum was invoiced in January. This sum of £500K is set to be invoiced monthly and in the year ending March 31 2019 will be around £6.3 million. | noirua
13/8/2018 11:07 | UniVision (AIM: UVEL), the Hong Kong based group whose principal activities are the supply, design, installation and maintenance of closed circuit television (CCTV) and surveillance systems, and the sale of security related products, announces that the Company now expects to announce its final results, for the year ended 31 March 2018, in the week commencing 13 August 2018. | noirua
13/8/2018 07:26 | Going to be a few days possibly before we hear - Results seem to be posted at any time during the day and due in only 'during' this week. More time for additional buying until they arrive? | wi1l
11/8/2018 13:20 | The opening on Monday will be a tad more interesting as the ask is all but 2p now. For those purchasing between 1.38p to 2p a rise back to test the middle price 4.5p in May 2017, the high point, will give chunky on paper returns. The UVEL Board of Directors will then see the share price recognising their efforts. Hopefully there will be some comment on former subsidiary Leader Smart Holding Limited LSH hived off to shareholders in 2015. | noirua
11/8/2018 11:15 | They have stated that revenue and profit will be better this year due to the MTRC contract starting to be invoiced in last quarter Jan-Mar 2018 about £500K invoiced. Then ye 31st March 2019 will have a full year's contribution from the MTRC contract which should be about £7M. If they can keep their other contracts going ye 31st March 2019 should show turnover of approx. £13M with a net profit of anything upwards of £2.5M. This should mean a rerating of the market cap and with very few shares in the public domain the share price has the potential to fly high! Continued buying into the results next week will affect the share price ever more so IMHO. | wi1l
10/8/2018 17:29 | Last Year's Annual Report was out on 5 September 2017 and this year during the week beginning 13th August. Since 31 Mar 2018 the HK$ appreciated once again and is up 8%. | noirua
10/8/2018 16:15 | Now have 160,000 shares available at 1.99p. | noirua
10/8/2018 15:58 | The MMs have about 190,000 shares available at 1.945p. After that no automated trades. | noirua
10/8/2018 11:41 | all buys (I was one)today shown as sells.mms now looking for some sells whereas early on not at all. | wi1l
09/8/2018 07:47 | More of the same today hopefully - mostly selling and the share price going up! Unless of course that 400K sell was an early pi buy but manoeuvred to show as a sell. | wi1l
08/8/2018 08:21 | Buys showing as sells...... | rk23
08/8/2018 08:15 | Large increase on low volume? What's waiting in the wings? | wi1l
07/8/2018 19:06 | Sudden strong buying does suggest consideration being made as to likely profits from the 6 year £41 million of contracts. Averages £6.8m a year with no more new contracts in that time - unlikely to happen. This trading year to 31 March 2018 mean't setting up costs against income. Income being paid to UVEL at varying stages over 6 years. If all is well in place the shares will be under priced below 3p. Present order book is £44 million. Results due week starting 13 August 2018 Trading Update April 2018: | noirua
07/8/2018 13:51 | The journey has been a long one and the chart shows the decline over the last 14 months. My own calculation of worth was 2.85p back in May 2018. The price went much higher - intra-day high at 4.75p. | noirua
07/8/2018 12:46 | Just guessing but possibly very limited amount of shares available in public domain, even less so now that approx. 25M tied up presumably with Beaufort nominees who are in administration. Have some with them and will get them back eventually. For the time being though it leaves about 50M most of which are with Hargreaves lansdown nominees. If the results are good there might be quite a bit of buying and with few available might push the share price even higher. IMHO. Hope the results are good! | wi1l
07/8/2018 12:13 | Results are out during week starting 13 August - earlier than usual. Buying interest today seeing shares sold down from 2017 high point close to 5p. Despite so much going on behind the scenes the shares look oversold at this point. I've turned on a sixpence here as there is a limit of time when being sidelined from UVEL suddenly becomes unwise. Major holders have not reduced and patience looks set to be rewarded once more. Allowing for costs related to start up the next 5 to 6 years looks set to be rosy, red rose of course, as far as the company is concerned. | noirua
27/7/2018 13:25 | Good of them to give advance notice of results: UniVision (AIM: UVEL), the Hong Kong based group whose principal activities are the supply, design, installation and maintenance of closed circuit television (CCTV) and surveillance systems, and the sale of security related products, announces that that Company now expects to announce its final results, for the year ended 31 March 2018, in the week commencing 13 August 2018. It may be difficult to see the profit path overall though there should be a lead to likely profitability in this very tight market over the six years of the contract. | noirua
