Yes any excuse to sell off. The yields were higher than they are now only a few months ago but there was no sell off then.

WTF is going on? All utilities especially water butchered today"

10yr UST yields rose I believe. REITS and Utilities sold off.

"REITs roughed-up as rates break out; utilities too"

This hit 1050p in the Summer. Nothing has changed! Hope it does the same again in 6 months & no Labour will not be getting in as no need to call an election until 2022!!!

Consensus brokers forecasts show a 4% downturn in eps in the year to 31st March 2017 and a 16% rise in the following year. Are we going to see some recovery here or is the Corbyn effect going to hang over the sector like a sword of Damacles?

Household water bills in England and Wales will fall by between £15 and £25 a year from 2020 to 2025, the regulator Ofwat has pledged.

260 page document , not sure the market will view it as "news".

As you say , hard to see many reasons for the share price drop there. I guess it is about politics.

And even the little children who follow JC will be two years older and might realise he isn't Santa Claus after all. I can't see that damn fool getting in power.

All down to a stupid downgrade from HSBC to Hold even though target price is 900p! P/E now just 13. Good time to top up. No election for at least 2 years.
