Yep. Excellent team and multi-facetted opportunity here.
Strong hand gained in development deals that appear to be ongoing.
Plenty going on with newsflow and share price catalysts

Crazy price action here but seems quite a few small oilers weak this morning. Being able to get more below the placing price is a surprise though.

The warrants are at 8p not exercisable for a year likely any conversion would be done above 10p The beauty is they are four year warrants no rush to convert id do mine around 20-30p !

Divmad, I certainly dont think circa £3m of shares will hold UOG back in just over 12 months time.

Plus you are assuming every man & his dog all cash in their warrants at the exact same time/day or week.

Its really not an issue to worry about imo.

Cheers Spangle.

Yes I will be the first to moan if the share price stagnates for a month or two at nearly 100% upside lol.

Fact is if Colter comes in, or the Jamaica seismic surprises or any new project is as good as suggested then it will blow straight through 8p.

Yes you're quite right my bad! I've just finished a long night shift. Well that equates to another £3M pounds, I can't see that holding up the price twelve months from now!

3 warrants for every 4 shares isn't it?

40.9 million warrants at 8p/warrant = £3.27MM

With respect you can't know it's going to stagnate between 8p and 10p unless you know the exact state of the company at that price point. If they do the right deals and get some decent results then it's quite possible that the warrant 'issue' needn't be an issue at all. About 50 million shares were placed with 3 warrants for every share if all warrants are exercised which equates to £12M if every warrant were exercised, let's say for arguments sake that £10M worth are exercised, that's £10M straight in the coffers to do more value accretive deals with. I'd much rather this kind of deal than a placing with say a 20% or worse discount that knocks the share price back for months. All growing companies need to raise funds, this seems like a good way to do it and I have confidence that the management will use to money to make deals that have a leverage effect commensurate to the amount spent and likewise again in 12 months time.

The upside is damaged by the 8p warrants. You can huff and puff about how good this premium prices placing was, but it comes at a future price. As long as you shareholders don't moan about stagnation between 8p and 10p, then all's well I suppose.

Article in the Times...United taps the market for £3m. Irish oil exploration group created in 2015 by former executives at Tullow Oil has raised £3 million in a placing at a zero discount to market price. The Dublin-based United Oil & Gas (UOG) was listed on the London Stock Exchange in July last year via a reverse takeover of Senterra Energy. Yesterday it held an oversubscribed placing of 54.5 million shares at 5½p each. It will use the funds to add projects to a portfolio that includes a  commercial gas discovery in Italy and two prospective blocks in the North Sea, one of which could hold as much as 16 million barrels of recoverable oil. The company's strategy is to buy unwanted oil and gas licences from larger groups where it can find untapped value in smaller fields that bigger companies have ignored.

@Soulsauce - Email to shareholders from Brian Larkin effectively reprised the 2 RNS's today, but contained the sentence

" In tandem with [work on existing opportunities], we will look to add new assets to our portfolio, but only those that have benefited from considerable historic work, contain numerous leads and targets and have defined paths to high impact activity."

Not sure i can remember the last time a small cap raised at a premium especially in this market

Those 8p warrants could bring in circa GBP3.25M which in turn could bring in some very tasty new oil & gas deals to UOG

Also less likely to then require another placing as the warrants will have done that job for UOG at that point in time of course

I think this is a good deal for all - I hear what you're saying iLeeman, however there are a lot of sticky hands in play here which helps everyone long term. BOD has done a remarkable job to date. Good luck all DYOR.
