I understand that the 3D Seismic news should arrive "over the next few days". So hopefully early next week.

There is no way there will be an imminent placing unless Brian has a deal that is so fantastically stacked in UOG's favour that it's simply too good to pass up. Brian stated at the investor evening on the 25th July that future raises will be done once the balance sheet is stronger and on the back of positive events in the portfolio.

We are fully funded for Colter, which means that we'll probably drill that appraisal well (58% probability of success) and get that priced into the balance sheet before any future raises are carried out. He was adamant we were not going to have the farce of the last raise repeated ever, ever again. He was absolutely categoric on that front.

The investor evening was two weeks ago today and BL had just received a couple of lines of the Jamaica 3D that day. Estimates for completion were about 2-3 weeks but emphasis was going to be on getting a comprehensive analysis completed before publishing anything as they wanted to get it right. He did say that what he saw looked amazingly positive, his grin spoke volumes. My guess is by the end of next week but if it takes slightly longer then so be it. Having said that, it could arrive this afternoon. Who knows.

Remember, he did say that thanks to the weather conditions being so perfect at the time of the survey, the data is particularly detailed and comprehensive so I'm expecting that to be reflected in the eventual RNS.

Got to admit, I'm struggling with being patient as well but sooner or later it'll arrive.

Or because the company has reneged on news of Jamaica seismic in July.
And maybe that they set the options so low.

Disappointed to see this back at this level. So where is the Jamaica news pencilled in for July?

Whilst the options in themselves aren't as motivating as they might have been at a higher price, management is still strongly aligned with shareholders in that they will personally benefit from a rising share price.

From today's RNS, Brian Larkin has 8.15% of the issued capital and Jonathan Leather has 4.75%. That's a significant chunk. An appreciating share price is clearly in their best interests financially.

Q "Who is Rodney Mooney anyway? A search on the UOG website can't find him"

A "This time next year we'll be millionaires Rodders"

Agree. I guess it aligns them with participants in the recent placing, but it's hardly a motivating incentive to drive the price, i.e. as long as you don't lose 20% of the company value in the next 3 years, you'll be in profit

Who is Rodney Mooney anyway? A search on the UOG website can't find him

Soft target to meet .. award themselves 10-year options at 4.25p at a discount to the current share price. It's more normal to set hurdles and award options at a premium to the current price, and at some point in the next ten years, they must expect the price to be a lot higher than 4.25p?

The boys have done well especially considering that it all began at a kitchen table and they funded it themselves without taking a salary for a long time. Looking forward to increased activity across the growing portfolio

Reading the recent broker note from Optiva, there is huge upside to be bought here. Currently sitting at just 5.3p vs a 15.7p target. I can't believe the price is still so low. A great opportunity imo.

"Since our last publication on 26 April 2017, we have elected to include a conservatively risked initial valuation for United’s Jamaican exploration assets in anticipation of fast-tracked seismic data expected to be published in July. As such, our core valuation for the shares is increased from 13.5p to 15.7p per share on a fully diluted basis. Although this does not yet include any value related to the acquisition of Crown, United is currently exposed to very exciting upside from its suite of UK assets including the expected drilling of Colter in Q4. Consequently, we will endeavour to augment our core valuation upon additional substantive news flow over the coming months."

RNS today flagging the latest corporate presentation:

Well worth a look and good to see that the company has a clear goal of driving the share price higher:

"Strategy

Utilise the team’s experience to identify projects to build a balanced portfolio of assets with the potential to significantly increase shareholder value"

Plenty of "High Impact Newsflow" in the short term to look forward to as well (page 25)
