It's quite clear that the board scored an own-goal here and happy-clappers pretending that they didn't, do more harm than realists who are prepared to point out the good and the bad in relation to the companies they're invested in. The whole purpose of these forums is to exchange honest appraisals of companies, not to blindly ramp.

The whole "you're either with me or against me" is what you'd expect on the StockTwits bear versus bulls constant stream of nonsense. "Only a sith deals in absolutes".

It's just laziness to call people trolls and derampers.
Like Mustbefunny says let's hope there is a good reason for the damage done to the share price and reputations.
I wait to be proven wrong.

TXP Directors did a similar thing back in December 2020 with excercising share options and selling straight away as opposed to hanging onto them. Was a red flag for me there same as what happened here (and after the substantial pay increases too) . Greedy Directors sucking the blood of shareholders are not what I look for in a company.

Agree FBRJ, this whole "you are not getting my shares" nonsense is just that nonsense.

I have zero intention of buying any more of these.

If Brian wont buy at 1.4p, why on earth should we buy at 5p?

I think the next AGM will be "interesting" to say the least.

"Criticizing what we deem as poor BOD decisions does not make you a "deramper", and while I like to remain emotionally disconnected from stocks, this is not always easy as can be seen from everyone's replies.

If one doesn't want to hear constructive criticism about the BOD then one shouldn't read a board. Similarly to stick one's head in the sand is only going to hurt you further down the road if you're not following questionable decisions."

I agree with this 100%. Thank you for your overall post too.

I have been a shareholder here for over three years and, until recently, held between 2-4m shares. I only comment occasionally and if anyone cares to look back you will probably find it difficult to find any previous post of mine here that could be construed as negative, as I have been pretty supportive on the whole. Although another decision I didn't like but went along with was the move to AIM.

Yet the second I proffer a critical comment about this warrant exercise, I get accused of deramping or trolling etc. Does anyone really believe that a couple of comments (which are hard to dispute as they are factual) on a bulletin board would drop the share price by 20%? As I am still a holder why would I want to do that? "Oh yes" you say....so you can buy back cheaper. In my view a strategy that could backfire spectacularly!

Oh before I go, Mustbefunny I genuinely believe that is the case and there is an acquisition in the pipeline....

Have to admit I would be disappointed if there wasn't some positive reason to exercise now. Best case for me would be an acquisition using cash from warrants plus Incoming £2.8M

Whether you're for or against or warrants, one things for certain: 4.5 is being tested and failing since the decision was made.Let's hope Brian and co have something up their sleeves from next week to turn it around.

My post from LSE...

This is where I am,

Had Brian sold a few and maybe financed it 60 percent own pocket 40 percent selling I would be "OK" with it... I would prefer he 100% paid for them out of his own pocket because for me that is genuine "skin in the game"

Doing it this way is just free confetti shares..

If Brian and the other snouters on the BOD won't pay 1.4 to buy UOG shares with their own money, why on earth should PI's be paying around 5p

The optics are utterly awful.

If Brent takes a bath forget Jamaica and things will look a whole lot less rosy. Factor in the HUGE payrises - which I am on record here as being in favour of and you have a really toxic mess.

For me you take the payrises but you buy the shares, dumping the warrants to get "free" shares on the back of 100% payrises is just totally and utterly wrong. Its not illegal but it sends a signal about the intent of the board. This company now for me is all about Brian and the BOD first and shareholders second. That is a massive red flag.

People are free to think its fine, I don't mind, but for me its not right.

I will be looking to get out as and when appropriate and invest elsewhere. UOG I don't think is for me.

I'm Switzerland here. I have a stake, and I want it to do well. My experience has been soulsauce wants the same and I have found his insights into the strange share price behaviour invaluable for better understanding what the hell is going in in the background. I am one of those who was particularly displeased and concerned about the selling of the warrants given the constant background selling and thus following he hefty payrises, but I'm going to hold on and wait and see what happens to the share price following the next set of good news which should be inevitable. Before anyone calls me a deramper, I am happy with how the company has grown which is why I am disappointed we saw a drop in share price at a time when stocks are going blue across the board, simply because of a poorly times RNS. Criticizing what we deem as poor BOD decisions does not make you a "deramper", and while I like to remain emotionally disconnected from stocks, this is not always easy as can be seen from everyone's replies. If one doesn't want to hear constructive criticism about the BOD then one shouldn't read a board. Similarly to stick one's head in the sand is only going to hurt you further down the road if you're not following questionable decisions. So let's move on and agree that there are neither rampers nor derampers here, but also that humans transgress and make poor decisions that affect the share price Hopefully it will go back to 6p and make moves above, but if it doesn't then we have a baseline and set of historic events to fall back to to understand why.

Brian needs reminding. Circa 30m mkt cap is not really that cheap for a circa 1,200 bopd producer. Certainly not enough there for him to be continually giving himself freebies!

The top table feeding at the trough aint exactly unprecedented in corporateland. The wee man is a fully fledged bon viveur and it becomes our pleasure and honour to provide him with all the ultra luxurious trophies he thinks he deserves. Yachts ,high end sports cars and sumptuous pied de terres on the continent don't come cheap these days.....

With comments like that cpap is there any wonder you get ticked down so much.
You do yourself no favours calling everyone who has a different view a deramper or a troll.

I'm at a loss why you seem to literally have nothing else/better to do than spend a large part of your time moaning & posting negative comments on UOG. Gave you nothing else in your life to keep you occupied? What is it about this company that is driving you to get your knickers in such a twist? Did you fall out with Brian at some point? Or done other background reason?

What rubbish cpap. If they put their hand in their pockets at any time it wouldn't look a fraction as bad. That is the issue not the price they issued them at.
Jeeze!!
