BOARD CHANGE - RETIREMENT OF SENIOR INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

The Unite Group plc, the UK's leading owner, manager and developer of student accommodation, announces that Elizabeth McMeikan, Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee, will be retiring from the Board after 9 years of service with effect from close of business on 28 February 2023.

Richard Huntingford, Chair of the Company commented:
