RKT numbers aren't that bad. The vast majority of the volume decline is down to Lysol which is a pure Covid thing.

Apart from that volumes were only down 1%

Share price flat YOY, better than most FTSE, but as most sales in USD, CYN & INR should have done better. UK only about 4% turnover at best so a side show. Focus on USA/India/China where doing very well, & buying up fast growing companies. So getting 4% yield & growth for future, I value at least £42+. consumers cutting back on heating, holidays etc, but still buy Magnums, Pot noodles, Dove etc as affordable treats.

Investors in consumer goods giant Unilever (ULVR) will be taking heart from today’s positive third-quarter trading update from rival Nestle (NESN:SWX), the world’s biggest packaged food company.

After sales for the first nine months beat estimates, the Swiss firm raised its full year organic revenue growth guidance giving shareholders in Unilever hope the Marmite-to-Magnum group might do the same when it reports next week.

That said another go will happen soon enough as in this market it's a safe play I think. Profit is a profit though so I think many will scalp a few points here.

says a lot of about when it take the ceo to announce he is leaving to get the biggest pop in shares in a long time. also gets an update from berenberg today from hold to buy with a 48 tgt. given the fall in sterling its now a real possibility that someone from the states looks at it in terms of breaking it up.

He was been in ULVR for 17 years so probably needs to give 12 months notice anyway.

he is now an "interim" and will be treated as such.

two things could now happen

A lot - he can be figure head for radical change as he is leaving
Nothing - everything slows down waiting for new leader

We shall see.

end of 2023!! seriously what in gods name are the BOD thinking?? He needs gone today, not compensated, not thanked. He is a frigging tool that put his virtue signalling and wokery above our business. That is a cardinal sin.
clearly we need shot of the entire BOD as they are working against delivering shareholder value.
