Well today is the day that the tender offer goes through, although I guess we won't hear until tomorrow morning. From the answers about tendering so far, I think I might amend my tender prediction down to 50% and that figure of course depends on Octopus having to tender some of their shares. I guess that Vanguard and most of the other instis won't tender their shares.

Interesting spread already. Of course it is largely irrelevant what the PIs do as ultimately the large shareholders will make all the difference. However, it is clear that you will be able to tender a lot more than 57%!

That link has been on the website for the last 4 months !

mudbath tendered 100% - 3.75m

My curiosity level has gone up a notch or two regarding the number of shares that will be cancelled. I’ve no clue as to what the institutions will do but I suspect most will not be tendering shares, just like management.

Incidentally I am interested in what other investors have done wrt the tender offer. So far we know

nobbygnome tendering about 50%
mud tendering 100%
michael tendering 0%
timbo tendering 50% of his non EIS shares
ducatiman tendering 0%

So a complete mixture of approaches! Anyone else care to share what they have done?

Apologies if the link has been posted before but I have only just seen this presentation on the TYR website. There is a lot of interesting information here IMHO!

Nobby,

you completed the W8-BEN form, many pi’s have not. that’s why they were obliged to buy TYRU.

Although to be fair, I hold more TYRU than TYR so in terms of absolute amounts, I am selling more TYRU but as a % of my holding more TYR!
nobbygnome

On the contrary I am selling more TYR because they usually trade at a discount to TYRU!

There was a review in an angling magazine where someone used it and said they weren’t bitten once.

Regarding the tender offer I’d expect a good deal of TYRU to be sold due to the fact that most pi’s hold TYRU shares. I’m curious to see if this is the case.

That's good to hear nobby, Defoe going to try, mosquitos will travel immense distances to feed on me!

Nobby,

That depends on the outcome of the tender ! They might end up with a nice pile of working capital...

Let’s wait and see what happens this week rather than speculate on. this and that

Same problem as with Vamousse. They haven't got enough cash to market it effectively. So I would expect a sale towards the end of this year.

We have had some for the past 2 years. My wife has been using it and has not been bitten with it on. However, she refused to do the scientific experiment of doing one arm and leg and not the other!

And I thought she was a scientist....

As a fly fisherman who attracts biting midges and mosquitos from a wide area I will be giving Guardian a try this summer! If it works I will be delighted as nothing else seems to!
ducatiman

Yes, agree about Guardian but imo they will build it up first as they did with Vamousse so I don’t see it being sold off too soon. Themarket for Guardian is worth considerably more than the head lice market, the product has had great reviews, so why get rid before it has reached at least some of the potential?

Incidentally I expect the Guardian brand to be sold later this year once the accreditation is received. It doesn't make sense to have just one small 'human' brand, when the focus of the company is now animal health.

Well if the price is below 3p I will be buying a few of my tendered shares back! My trading tendencies mean I just won't be able to resist.....
