Only issue I can see is that by 2046 Tullow will have decommissioned their Ghana fields ;-) We now have loads of gas and no export pipeline. In 2046 we'll have a gas export pipeline and no gas to fill it. Well done Ghana.gov

Ghana Gas July news. New board of directors to ensure that all debts owed to the company are paid regularly. “As sector Minister, one of my priorities is to rid the sector of avoidable debts especially, ones I call intra-energy sector debts. This will ensure liquidity of companies in the carrying out of their operations as well as other financial obligations.” pehaps puts them in conflict with the world bank who favor ENI but good news for Tullow hTTps://www.ghanagas.com.gh/article/GHANA%20GAS%20GETS%20NEW%20BOARD/PS-TRF-38336 WAGP pipeline extension will be completed in 2046 I will be 92 years so hope they use the existing pipeline if Nigeria have problems with production Ghana gas could support Lagos new facilities. I will be happy when Ghana gas demand outstrips supply. hTTps://www.gem.wiki/Nigeria-Morocco_Gas_Pipeline

jeeeez, what a bunch of miserable, negative numbnuts, some of you are. SP sitting very well, on the 8 and the 200, with the 50 just 5p above, or circa +12%. Could do that in a day ... easy

Problem is if and when this falls out the FT250, they will have real good go at bringing this down from here.

the last longer shut down for debottlenecking gas handling was just before covid in february 2020. so could be well extended to q1 2022 in the standard 2 year maintanance schedule you suggested. originally they said 3 weeks shut down at the CMD, so maybe the 1 month shut down is the conservative approach we are used to now.

Possibly increase offtake by compressor(s) re-blading but be quite a shutdown.

European markets set for subdued open ahead of Powell’s Jackson Hole speech Published Fri, Aug 27 20212:27 AM EDT Elliot Smith @ElliotSmithCNBC Key Points Investors around the world will be watching Powell’s speech for details on how and when the central bank might look to taper its monetary stimulus measures. Developments in Afghanistan are also on the radar, after the Pentagon confirmed on Thursday that explosions near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan killed 13 U.S. service members and wounded 18. LONDON — European markets are set for a muted open Friday as caution prevails ahead of U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s remarks at the annual Jackson Hole symposium. Britain’s FTSE 100 is seen around 4 points higher to 7,129, Germany’s DAX is expected to fall by around 20 points to to 15,774 and France’s CAC 40 is set to slip by around 6 points to 6,660, according to IG data. Markets in Asia-Pacific were similarly mixed on Friday, while U.S. stock futures inched fractionally higher after the major Wall Street indexes snapped multi-day winning streaks on Thursday.

Thanks thommie. Yes it's there (slide 12) Debottleneck gas handling capacity on Jubilee FPSO The ceiling is currently about 200mmscf/d. If they could raise that by 10% you'd get 10% more oil through the FPSO (everything else being equal). [We had 2 upgrades previously: 160 to 185 and 185 to 200] The other goal is Target to increase gas offtake beyond 130mmscf/d but that needs cooperation from Ghana as they are the "buyer" at zero cost. As SS has pointed out Ghana really ought to have a plan to export the gas. But they don't.

xxnjr. revisit the CMD presentation of november last year. they said what they initialy plan to do there. if I remember right it was mainly for adding slots to the fpso to be able to tie in more wells when the jubilee south east development ist ein ongoing plus much higher water injection capacity. maybe gas debottlenecking as well? IR said they will update on 15.9.

SS - It may well be 2 yrs of annual maintenance if they skipped doing it last year in the pandemic? Also I believe there is some FPSO gas de-bottlenecking at some point; so maybe that is on the cards for this shutdown? W/inj also gets upgraded at some point I think, although not necessarily next 1Q?

The planned shut down moved to early next year ,A month planned seems a long time any idea of the scope of work? perhaps tie ins or manifold work. Guyana news hTTps://www.energy-pedia.com/news/guyana/exxonmobil-to-commence-drilling-operations-at-sapote-1--canje-block--offshore-guyana-183971

Looks like the final tie-in of the JUB w/inj was by Bourbon Evolution 805, rather than the rig that moved to TEN to drill a G/inj a week or more ago. hTTps://www.bourbonoffshore.com/en/our-companies/our-series/bourbon-evolution-800-innovative-versatile-vessels BE 805 now on its way to Takoradi Ghana. Fingers cross - w/inj may now be done (unless it returns back to same spot).

Today's market fall all seems a little coordinated to me, the covid reasoning is wearing thin. Yes it's nasty and needs sorting but life has to go on at some point.
