Key Points

The Fed’s Jackson Hole symposium kicks off Thursday. Markets will be watching Friday’s closing remarks from Chairman Jerome Powell.

European Central Bank Chief Economist Philip Lane said on Wednesday that economic impact from the spread of the delta Covid-19 variant is likely to be limited across the euro zone.

LONDON — European shares are set to pull back Thursday, with global markets striking a cautious tone as U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers gather for a closely watched monetary policy summit.

Britain’s FTSE 100 is seen around 25 points lower at 7,125, Germany’s DAX is set to fall by around 49 points to 15,811 and France’s CAC 40 is expected to drop around 12 points to 6,664, according to IG data.

YES, and the share price was manipulated lower by the MM. Just shows how crooked this stock is.

It's about time the UK put in place a governing body to monitor such corruption; but hey ho, this is the most corrupt stock market in the world.

Oil up so in justified terms the share price should fly up 5p today in line with the % the MM manipulate the price down with a similar % fall in the oil price.

Low volumes simply don't wash as an excuse. it's simply DITTO!.

No chance, the Sewer rat shorters dictate what happens with the share price and the MM PUPPETS obey.

Lower lows in the share price compared to average highs in the oil price.

Oil above $70 and TLW are still manipulated lower by the MM.

The scumbag MM are manipulating the share price to lower lows every time the oil price rises to enable their sewer rat shorting mates to get out on the cheap.

Corrupt as you like, but that's what you get when you invest in the most corrupt markets in the world with no governing body in place.

I see many are making a big thing about TLW crashing out of the 250 lol; well it did nothing to boost the share price when we got into it.
If anything it attracted more sewer rat shorters helped by the dodgy MM to crash the share price lower.

TLW has proven its better to be out than in. Corrupt as you like.

Hi SS. Yes they got the cash as you say. It was either that, or press the self destruct button and turn the lights off. I guess we'll be able to refinance the 10.25% bonds for something more palatable in a few years time. Selling Kenya might be the best option.

Basically in the same hydrocarbon system thommie except we are higher up the slope. The best place to be so far seems to be between say 1000m and 2000m water depth in this basin as we can all see (funnily enough just like Ghana). It was the Jubilee discovery that convinced companies to go back and take another look at Guyana-Suriname basin for a second wave of exploration as both basins are basically mirror images of each other formed by the same event (continental drift and opening of Atlantic).

Just going to post that XX I guess the positive thing is they got much needed cash at a difficult time.its all about cash and debt and greedy banks
I hope they don,t get too involved in the Kenya pipeline too much risk for a small company.

Thommie if you look at the data; the 3rd loading after their last is usually TLW again. And the last data point was a TLW loading dept 20/6. We have had 5 loadings since 20/6; so chances are it wasn't TLW but the next loading might be :)

Wonder if the Sept shut down for JUB maintenance will happen? With current high OP and about 80K production rate may make sense to delay a bit. 1Q 2022 perhaps? Would also look good at year end with a higher FCF number.

Thommie I'm sure Tullow IR won't mind me quoting them on their response to a Q I'd raised recently.

"Industry standard practice across West Africa is to take an average of “N” pricing days linked to the B/L date. This can be month average of load month or another similar price formulae with an agreed period of days."

=========================================================

i.e its an ave of an [undisclosed] number of pricing days at buoy loading date.

Total have exercised one of their two remaining options on Maersk Developer to drill another exploration well adjacent to Keskesi with a duration of 60 days. Timeline there may suggest a Campanian target (the Santonian is deeper and takes longer). Maersk Valiant has just spud Bonboni in about 1,900m WD - it's that large basin floor fan to the north of the block as shown in the energypedia graphic (thanks SS) Suriname is devouring 25% of Totals global exploration budget. Drilling more wells suggests its going ok. Apparently there is a lot of associated gas in the Suriname finds. Maybe they have come full circle? It initially looked like the campanian was too gassy for the first development in a place where there is no market for local gas. Seemed they were chasing the deeper Sant which is less gassy but will cost more to develop. Recent smoke signals point to looking for and finding black oil (low GOR oil) in the Campanian. (perhaps Patrick P of Total [nobody's fool] is steering the exploration effort now?)

it's really strange. these wildcat drills are like playing roulette, but with a far worse chance. though if you are in trend with the stabroek discoveries it's like a 100% sucess rate. I have a feeling, that both blocks that tlw have a wi in guyana have 1-2 of these out of 20-30 leads. hard to find, unless you want to produce low api, high sulfur oil. and ofc I guess they would lie more on the boundaries to stabroek and more of it inside stabroek if they were high api low sulfur ones. I also have the feeling that the one that would be the discovery was the already drilled jaguar well that was abdandoned due to high pressure, high temperature difficulties many years before exxon did their first discovery in stabroek. the macondo disaster in the GOM was too present at that time.my only hope is, that Total which is a partner in both tlw blocks has inside info about what to look for after they farmed into the apache block in suriname where they already discovered 3-4 oil fields which are perfectly on trend to all of the stabroek ones.(I guess not, as we would have already seen a spectacular farm in agreement between tlw and Total then.) but in the end it maybe doesnt help at all, as the tlw blocks seem to be of a completely different geology and so to say they can mainly only drill different play types there. but as these wildcat drills we will see in 2022 will be the only left exploration area besides cote de ivory I am pleased to see that rahul is concentrating more on known fields in ghana where every dollar invested has a far better chance to multiply itself than at wildcat drilling all over the world. (just remember how mich dollars they invested in uganda and kenya, plus the interest rates on debt they could have saved over a timeframe of 10-15 years - tlw could have been debt free without it? and as always I think oil companys often stop too early exploring the known prospects in their blocks after they made enough discoveries leading to a commercial oil development but after that forget to go on exploring the rest of them and instead start to drill at other places all over the world while the biggest chance would be to go on drilling at known plays where you can tie back new discoveries fast into existing infrastructure! it's the same with kenya. just look at some past tlw maps. there are many many more prospects around the discoveries which could lead to a big upside in the numbers of ooip we are looking at here...Over and out. lets see what roulette has to say about it!
