09/6/2020 09:57 | HL website is getting a bit laggy at times. Sometimes they show live prices. Sometimes not. Oscillates throughout the day. At times, live quotes cannot be executed as buys or sells. Sometimes my account page doesn't load; "page unavailable". And worst of all, recently I executed a 'click of mouse' sale that didn't show up, either as a contract note or alteration to cash balance. Rang HL. After waiting in queue on the phone for 20 mins (no answer) and no evidence that sale had actually taken place, I decided to re-sell the 15000 shares again, as still showing in my account. Having done that my current holding in that security (which should have been Zero) now showed "-15000 shares"; i.e HL software had allowed me to sell shares I didn't own!!!! Given that HL weren't answering the phones at the time (understaffing due to covid?) my only option was to buy another 15,000 shares, otherwise, one assumes, I would have been be liable for the unlimited upside of buying back the 15000 shares in a rising market, or takeover situation. Not good!!! HL usually ok but I guess they are understaffed, even though they still manage to bombard me with marketing BS as per usual. | xxnjr
09/6/2020 09:54 | Yes nothing goes up in a straight line but this has gone straight down . I suspect many were in at much lower prices. | atlantic57
09/6/2020 09:51 | A quick look at the market says it all, it'll be down to the DOW to rescue the day, no way the FTSE traders would dare go against the Rise or Fall of the DOW! | gbh2
09/6/2020 09:43 | Nothing goes up in a straight line boys& girls keep the faith ! | dickiebird2

09/6/2020 09:34 | When you look at all the self-confessed day trading legends on these boards, bear this in mind: This stock was range-bound in the 20s for a while. Plenty were saying when it gets to 30p, they'd "sell and buy back in the early 20s". Well, look what happened yesterday.....it screamed up from 30p to 40p in a matter of hours. You can probably spot those who were caught out by this on this board, LSE and others (they are the ones frantically trying to talk this share back down). Day traders always lose - and lose their minds in the process. | proj

09/6/2020 09:20 | I use the mode where you get a share price and it gives you around 10 seconds to click accept or not...don't fancy the idea of not knowing what you will get! | jm65
09/6/2020 09:17 | no always use a limit order | spirito
09/6/2020 09:17 | I never have and never will, mate. That poor sod lost 10% of his equity with that gamble. Take care. | proj
09/6/2020 09:14 | ah ok, I never use the kill or fill function. | jm65
09/6/2020 09:10 | Can happen when you don't get a price....but put in a sell order anyway. They fill at best (or worst, in this case). | proj
09/6/2020 09:07 | I use HL and can't see how that could happen??? | jm65
09/6/2020 09:04 | MMs had their fun (& profit), chugging back up nicely now. Some smart pilgrim on LSE thought he had sold at 39p earlier, but actually got 36p from HL. So clever, these day traders. LOL. GL all. | proj
