S&P Global Ratings upgraded the credit rating for the oil and gas exploration firm Tullow Oil PLC on Monday to B+ from B with a Stable outlook. The credit rating agency said the upgrade followed the balance sheet deleveraging started in 2017.

Those existing numbers came from slide 11 of the Nov/17 corporate presentation. Also shown were:-

$2.6bn of Reserves Based Lending and

Revolving Corporate Facility reduces to $600m in Jan 2018; $500m in April 2018; $400m in Oct 2018, Final Maturity April 2019.

Not all of the available debt has been drawn, giving "headroom".

The minister was in london teh week before last to meet with tullow but just because it says something in an ngo report does not make it a fact...

I'll be keeping an eye on it. She didn't say they wouldn't but rather they hadn't.

I sent on the report. Fingers crossed.

Somehow my email didn't go through and I was pretty annoyed by the third call but she did put my mind at rest for the moment at least.

Just off the phone with Tullow.

I have been assured that Tullow has exchanged no money with South Sudan. Also, that Tullow would not engage with a country that was engaged in the activities I described. Won't be selling my shares this week after all!
