Don't know yet if we can apply for the double taxation refund.

In any case, having checked my holding, on my original investment I'm getting in excess of 7% even accounting for the daylight robbery tax. So I'll continue to hold.

Robbed by the exchange rate or robbed by the withholding tax. Either way it's no longer an interesting investment for me as I'm looking for income. Shame as I like the company but I think I'll sell.

If withholding tax is being applied at 26.375% it makes the dividend received a lot smaller and consequently shares in TUI are less an attractive an investment.

The dividend was paid at the rate of EUR 0.63 per share converted at a rate of 0.8475 GBP to EUR to holders of the stock as at 15 February 2017 and a rate of 26.375% withholding tax was applied.From Selftrade. The withholding tax is quite large. Will consider selling my holding.

Just did a few sums and just realised I was paid the roughly same rate as you. I will follow this up with my broker (Share Centre)

Just wondering if anyone else out there has had this experience re the dividend.
I received the latest payment (from Hargreaves Lansdown) and worked out that the dividend was paid at a rate of 38.97p per share. The dividend in original currency (euros) is 63c per share, so that gives an exchange rate of 1.6167 euros to sterling (or 0.62 the other way round). Have I miscalculated or just been robbed? (No answer yet from HL).
