20/10/2017 10:59 | I think today's fall which I didn't expect is due to investors takinga dim view of the flattering currency windfall in yesterday's update. I think the bigger picture belies that and hopefully France, America, Japan and India will unleash some new hunting ground for income. | mach100
19/10/2017 22:41 | There was quite a bit of interest aroused by the mobile company which TSTL has a stake in. The chairman of TSTL also has a personal stake in it. It will certainly be useful for remote diagnostics in the developing world and elsewhere. As glaws has pointed out above there will be moves into Japan and India. Given their populations it might allay fears about market saturation in my opinion. At constant currency growth would have been about 10% There are no plans to do hedging of currency. Liz pointed out it would have been detrimental to this year's results if hedged. It is also not an area of TSTL expertise. Re-submission to the EPA will definitely happen by the new November date as that is within the company's control. I asked about the danger of slippage to the deadline in May given what happened to the share price when an initial delay was announced. Paul answered fairly that "you are damned if you do and damned if you don't" Cash at bank has improved since today's report. A SCRIP dividend has never been considered. In discussions afterwards an investor said the company was probably too small for SCRIPs. Strategically Paul was keen to emphasise that TSTL was not all about North America. This was underlined by today's results. The company are on track for sales of £22.8m to £26 million in 2019. The question that never dies (TQTND) came up again about Tristel's use in dental surgeries for which it is mostly unsuitable. The company has some success with its disinfectant with a leading Vetinary group from what I could gather. Piedro I will ask you for questions in advance next time I am attending as I don't recall either of your questions above being covered. | mach100
19/10/2017 22:07 | A couple of questions for anyone who went to the presentions: - any comments on the Anistel and Crystel drop in sales? - ROW surfaces - till when is the bad packaging excuse still valid {ROW surfaces revenue}? TIA. | piedro

19/10/2017 16:38 | A comment (from the presentation) about the "low" underlying sales growth of 7%. They maintain their published target of increasing revenues by 10-15% per annum and confirmed that they are currently on course to achieve this in the current financial year. This will be achieved in a number of ways: 1. organic growth 2. buying distributors (as they did in Australia). Hong Kong likely to be next. 3. They are looking at setting subsidaries in both Japan & India 4. Continual expansion of approvals (24 products in 19 countries approved last year) After 3 yers of trying finally got approval in France for Duo 5. Mobile applications | glaws2
19/10/2017 16:26 | Mach, pass on my best wishes to your gut and may it continue to correctly predict future movements. ;-) I wish I could say my exit was meticulously timed and planned. Circumstances - and timing - simply worked in my favour. Nice mention of my old home town bowlers. I wish the current crop were as good as the chicken farmer who "flippin' murdered" England all those years ago. I once (and only once) faced Eddo Brandes - said chicken farmer - in the nets at school. Man, he was VERY, VERY quick! Back to more serious matters.. Peidro - VERY good points raised, indeed! Did anyone manage to make it onto the investors presentations? I wasn't able to due to work and nothing (yet) available on their website ( ). | zimbtrader

19/10/2017 11:48 | FWIW, - looking better but the first 6 months [H1] of the year usually show a better margin | piedro
19/10/2017 11:22 | WOW !! I was disappointed by their presentation of the results - we knew that revenues were on the up and up - we knew there would be no special dividend but, but, .... - I'm confused by their geographical revenue analysis - the CEO breaks it down by UK, Europe and ROW - the Segment report by UK, Germany and ROW - is Germany, Europe? - surely Australia deserves a mention Perhaps as Zimbtrader suggests, it will all be explained later today I do like consistency | piedro
19/10/2017 10:23 | No real surprises (good or bad) in these results. The last trading update had pretty much telegraphed revenue and profit figures. What I was pleased by was the lack of negative comments contained within but I'd have liked more detail pertaining to the delays with the EPA. Perhaps more may come via the presentations later today... I'm not surprised at there being no special divi. I personally see it as a better use of investors money as a "war chest" to fund US and Canadian expansion (assuming that materialises). Yes, 10-15% targets for the next 2 years are ambitious but Tristel seem well placed to achieve these and, perhaps, may be on the low side if and when US approval comes... Mach100, was it you who posted earlier this year that we'd see 300p by end of this year? I have to admit I did laugh at that post back then but that changed to "laughing all the way to the bank" at 306.5 when I sold half my holding! I sincerely hope your latest prediction is also realised as I did buy back in between 280 and 285p! | zimbtrader
19/10/2017 10:09 | Hi Hydrus. What price did you get for your sale? I think there is more to come here personally. I will reinvest the divi in December back into these. | mach100
19/10/2017 09:52 | Underlying sales growth of 7% - that suggests that the large increase in profits this year will be hard to replicate going forward. The company is on a very high rating and their foray into the states is not without risk and the business there will take considerable time to grow in any case. I still hold, albeit with profits taken now. | hydrus
19/10/2017 09:30 | Great results. I am surprised by the muted market reaction though I suspect on further consideration of these they will go above 300p. I can only think the lack of a special divi has weighed on investors. I was expecting one myself but as others have pointed out here they will use the money for the US etc. I would like to average up myself. I expected these to be 300p on announcing sales in the US. I now expect these to be 360p at least by May. Well done to the team! | mach100
19/10/2017 07:45 | Brilliant results inho. Stockopedia gives estimated eps for 2018 as 8.07p. They have achieved that this year with a boost from the take over of their Aussie distributor. Target is to achieve 10-15% growth over next 2 years and by then US approvals if successful will change the game dramatically. It can be seen from Piedro's posts that we are exhibiting in other markets as well so the future looks rosy as far as I can see. | melton john
