Bruce is quite capable of market wrangling. He sold Centrica and did a reverse takeover of Bayfield into Trin. He does not need another employee with 18 years experience. He has over 30. 18 years is only since 2002 !!! That’s why I said it is a wuestion for Investormeet but the answers are brief and not discussable so probably of limited use. Your comment is exactly what I meant.
Sp/brook. You are right.’s very complex. Trin is a one-man show. BOD discuss all things together but it is really an oligarchy run by one man. Has own agenda. Does not wish to sell Trin on the cheap. Said so 2 years ago. It’s an emotionally nonded company and he would not let it go under value. Said so. Hostile takeover not possible as director shares too large. Tgal is the prize. But it has been for 6 yrs!! A lot more to it than that but it’s a brief answer. AIM is a market which is very myopic and does not really look beyond today-another problem for Trin. Going private would be a good move but I see no signs of it. Dividend needed for market credibility.
People have known about the cash and the assets and the low cost production for some time but there has been no suggestion of a takeover. Given the ownership profile there is very little chance of anyone trying anything hostile. When the price was low and the whining at its peak it thought the management and "friends" would just have said f*** this and taken it private....I would have. At the point of peak ,hysterical meltdown they could have got the shares for 10-12p but they didn't so I see little chance of a takeover or buyout now. EDIT: I would think that they would get a bit more than face value for their "VAT bonds" 3.3% back by the government of T&T. Not a significant sum ....just me musing.
Could Trinity be a possible takeover target with all that cash ?
Trin has been at the mercy of the 10 percenters for a long time so yes something is definitely up. Merger or takeover rumour must be influencing the market. I break even at 10.2p. Here’s hoping for a profit
I believe this could be on the line for a merger or voluntary takeover. Too cheap by far and too many assets considering NAV. An unrisky acquisition or merger.
Trin SHOULD climb with WTI but relies purely on buyers. I simplify but have 6 1/2 years here to justify it. It often does not reflect WTI at all. It is remarkable. It sometimrs goes the other way when all others are rising. Those who decide the price are often unwilling to raise it unless stonking volume but happy to sink it hoping probably to stimulate buys. Circular. Don’t know Jadestone but Ptal dropped because its one well was shut down. It has recovered value now. I would hope that if WTI gets $35 and above that Trin will become more of a shop window gem. It is just a gem at the moment. Unpolished. No more PR on horizon so will have to rely on oil price. So many investors get bpred and sell so readily these days. New type of market. Quick profit and leg it. Not based on value. Trin need to keep some type of public presence through social or real media. Takeover.? Should have happened already .
