OT3, changes to the capital allowance and use of our previous tax losses. Not the end of the world stuff but if I have interpreted it correctly it more than undoes the small concession of SPT relief.

Spot on CRL, this is not a dig at the TRIN team but hard decisions now have to be made. Bruce is highlighted as he imho mistakingly took a pay rise at an insensitive time. I did not mind too much when there was the possibility he was using his local connection to encourage the support needed from the government. That clearly has not come off so value has to be found elsewhere.

Clearly I missed something in the budget, all I saw was increased spt tax break for drilling - what did I miss??

I feel that Bruce may resist this. But he should tune into shareholders and have a heart. We have been through Hell. Imbert will make it worse. I agree with OT’s sentiments but enough is enough. The man has not reciprocated Trin’s willingness to co-operate.
Desparate times demand desparate measures. Hold on all holders.
But Trinity and Bruce....detach from a deeply untrustworthy prime minister who is taking your dedication for a ride. Be as callous as he is.
Read these posts.
Detach and rethink your business now. You have our cash there.
TGAL needs a rethink. Onshore needs a rethink. Affiliation to Trinidad needs a rethink. The majors are pulling out. Trin should look for cash generation anywhere and everywhere.
Kick in teeth.
See how loyalty is rewarded by a deluded minister.
Adapt with no limitations Trin.
And buy when others are fearful ...I agree. But only in good companies like this.
Bruce. For our sakes. Please earn your salary. You didn’t ask for this. But if you earn that much please deploy efforts on our behalf now. It’s gone beyon enough is enough.

Otemple3, that was then, now we will have a worse regime in Jan 2020 if I am interpreting things correctly. When I have spoken to the company in the past it was felt it was important to drill and keep on side of the T&T government. I agreed, it is a partnership after all. However after last nights budget with Imbert showing what he is bringing to the partnership I think TRIN should seriously consider what we are doing.

With oil where it is and a worse regime coming I would be fully supportive of laying off as much of the workforce as possible and automate everything we can. Stop drilling apart from HAWs (if it comes out good). Operate a very tight unit in T&T and then redeployed the hard earned cash pile (raised in the UK twice during my holding, not earned as T&T would think from oil!) in a more welcoming jurisdiction. I can understand why it was resisted before but now we know Imbert’s hand we should respond accordingly.

Well I’m still here and I applaud oilinvestor and MM for buying.
I couldn’t .
No company will react more prudently than Trin no matter what. Deeply knowledgeable.
So it’s roll with the punches and move on. A media response would be interesting.
OT I appreciate your comments.

nocents, I got lucky and sold on the run up due to the IC spike @12.5p.

I didn't expect the share price to retreat this low.

Will indeed be interesting to see what they have to say, may be some read across and need some positive news on at least one of the T&T oilers to help get sentiment back....

We have to remember as well the oil price is at pretty much the worst price for us! We must be pretty much the only oil company investors desperately wanting it to fall - 5% fall for WTI from here and our cash flow triples :-)

You dont add anything of benefit to holders by criticising them or me.
It says something about you. Not anout me.
If you dont own shares then it seems ridiculous that you are here to gloat.
I cant even face writing your name!!
Pleaae go do something beneficial to yourself and us elsewhere.

Some nice buys coming in now. Just need TRIN to have a good result with the HAWS and explain how they are going to deploy our hard earned cash pile in a jurisdiction that is supportive of the oil industry. Yesterdays budget surely has to be the final straw for the TRIN team and this suggestion will be taken seriously.

It has broken 10p before, it could bounce from here, enterprise value sub 20m, starting to make other T&T oilers look very expensive, or TRIN very cheap.
