01/9/2014 07:55 | Just had another look at the balance sheet, and agree Pug. They've now sold 2 companies in order to pay bills. house broker says buy, with forecasts for a turnaround. One owner/insider with 11million shares. CEO has no decent holding. 34% loss at the mo. apad | apad
29/8/2014 09:14 | Management stretched too thin and pressures on prices plus translation effects of strong sterling - I can see further falls ahead but potentially locked in unless prepared to take a significant hair cut - Long term prospects very foggy (imo) Could go either way. Sorry cannot be of more help. | pugugly
29/8/2014 09:08 | Any ideas on why TCN is still in the doldrums? | silverpete
06/8/2014 11:16 | I'm hoping for a better update from the company in due course-certainly the shares are hardly expensive........ | meijiman
06/8/2014 10:44 | Meijiman, yes agree with that. It seems a fairly shrewd move allowing them to reduce debt on focus on the growth and US/Asia business. I think the consolidation point is a fair and honest one. | emmo1210
06/8/2014 09:30 | Interesting RNS today -probably the best move as post RR Tricorn was always struggling in aerospace. Not a bad price for the business. | meijiman
30/6/2014 08:04 | www.aimprospector.co decent enough summary but nothing new-conclusion is that if US and China work out then the shares are a buy. | meijiman
27/6/2014 22:24 | Ok thanks, won't be buying/selling anyway as happy to sit on this one till recovery takes grip. | emmo1210
27/6/2014 19:20 | will post link on Monday -early doors so you can assess whether it might affect the share price | meijiman
27/6/2014 16:10 | Any link to article buddy? | emmo1210
27/6/2014 13:19 | good write up in Aim Prospector-highlight | meijiman
11/6/2014 11:08 | Some people see things as problems, some see them as opportunities. | emmo1210
11/6/2014 07:15 | the problem is the geographic spread for such a small group a management nightmare.sure international oem encourage suppliers to follow them but only for their benefit when troubles come as they inevitably do they will offer no help. | charo
10/6/2014 19:27 | Also regarding the debt - it is short term debt. The company still has a net current asset position so not something to worry about for me. | emmo1210
10/6/2014 19:25 | I think they're still reeling from loss of the RR contract, what, 24 months ago? Never really recovered from that, and that division is now being merged with another, suggesting they don't expect anything to replace it, and clutching at straws since then. Sold my remaining holding at a loss. Won't write them off because they are obviously friggin' good at what they do, but disappointed all the same. | thamestrader
10/6/2014 19:20 | Gearing - indeed, higher than I would prefer, but taken in context of the the year that is was with a lot of one off costs I don't see it as unreasonable and should certainly reduce this year as Investing cashflow reduces. Outlook - The way I look at it- revenue was up and gross margins were 34.2% vs 36.5% last year, so it is a case of managing costs and admin, which was always to be high this year. Whilst new business continues to be won. I have a lot of faith that this is going to come really good in the next 2-3 years. This year they will get back to focusing on business again will help. | emmo1210
10/6/2014 13:53 | Not been a holder for a while (to declare my position). The results were in PBT terms slightly better than I expected, but I certainly won't be buying back in for a while. This is because: - gearing is now up to 50%, so is a little weighty, especially as - the outlook is completely unclear/opaque from today's results. The groundwork has been laid, and the opportunity is clear, but there's absolutely no sign given in the outlook as to whether trading is good, bad or indifferent, merely that they're well "positioned" and that progress is "expected". If anything, underlying demand appears weaker in both Energy and Transportation, whilst Aerospace has been suffering. I can't see the share price doing much on today's news except drifting/falling, so will hold fire until the company deigns to signal how it's actually been trading since the year end - which is already 2 1/2 months ago! | rivaldo
10/6/2014 13:38 | The results were all I was reasonably expecting, I have assumed this year was all about stabilising. To me given the micro cap nature of this company the only way to view an investment is as almost private equity as its so illiquid. So I will sit an hold and see where 2015 takes us. | wowy
10/6/2014 09:09 | One thing that does look foolish was the boards decision to raise the dividend at interim stage to then cut the dividend now. As suggested earlier there was no good reason or need to raise it. | emmo1210
10/6/2014 09:03 | No surprises, an expected loss as acquisition & JV bed in. Trouble in the mining sector, no surprise there. I have no problem continuing to back the management here in what is the first reported loss in many years. The continued rise in revenue in difficult market conditions is important. When these industries recover and margins return things wont appear so bad. At £6m for what has been a decently profitable company historically I am not so short sighted. Hope to add on any dips which has not happened yet. | emmo1210
10/6/2014 07:37 | The old old header at the top of this section says "Get in at 12p for the big rise" I think it has got it about right for a realistic starter price. Can't see they are worth anywhere near 19p after this set of results and no divi in spite of the cash pile. GAN | ganthorpe
10/6/2014 07:04 | I would say they're worth keeping an eye on to see if they get much cheaper but not worth the effort at this price. Might be a useful recovery play, we'll see. | arthur_lame_stocks
10/6/2014 06:47 | Initial take loss making - Struggle to regain traction A gamble even at this reduced valuation. (imo) Other views ? | pugugly
29/4/2014 20:19 | All I can say to them is keep manipulating those tubes and the rest should work itself out in time | emmo1210
29/4/2014 10:28 | Happy to see this is bouncing back - good intrinsic value here | playful |
