Yer I'm also skeptical of TA, not bulletproof but can often give you an idea especially when there is limited news. When we hit 207 back in sept that also hit a trendline indicating that if it broke it we would go further it didn't and now we're here, hopefully this is a sign of the way we're going now. I'm expecting a head back to 200 imo dyor bla bla etc gl

You did it. Thanks. I have problems like that as well.

I see it has definitely crossed the down trendline and it has crossed the 20 day sma as well.

Looking good, imho. but I'm always cautious about timescales.

Canada could keep them busy for a number of years!

WIKI on the States:

The United States has a total of 4,495 Title IV-eligible, degree-granting institutions: 2,774 4-year institutions and 1,721 2-year institutions. As of 2010, the US had 20.3 million students in higher education, roughly 5.7% of the total population. About 14.6 million of these students were enrolled full-time.

It's a big market.

Tribal have developed business in the USA in the Schools Sector and with the Military. As far as I am aware, the new contract in British Columbia is seen as a means of developing links with US universities.

It all seems to be part of a plan. I suspect that given the size of Tribal and the way the company operates, growth will be slow but steady, even if they do crack the market. They will make sure they get each university right and that will take time and resources.

I understand that in order to qualify to tender for higher value contracts within the USA, it is necessary for foreign companies to have a track record within the country.

I don't know the details.

I will have to find out, if I can.

I should top up but I'm already fully committed generally.

Just my luck. I'm waiting on news on a few. If just one of them comes through in the next week or so, I might be able to release funds.

If the progress at this time of year during the past 2 years was repeated, we were due a sharp move North. However, they came on the back of the Autumn updates and the upward push hasn't happened this time.

The next report is not due till the Spring. There may be a recovery between now and then, especially if people take advantage of this buying opportunity. Also Tribal has the habit of surprising us with sudden rises for no apparent reason

Since the new growth story emerged in 2012 this is the first major correction in a 40p band, maybe 200p is a round number that will take some effort to get through...hopefully c.160p is support and a good buy point.

You're welcome.

I'm a struggling learner so thanks for your pointers to Ichimoku.

It looks like a lot of buys in the 160s late on. Closed at 166.75.

Illtud,

On the monthly Ichimoku there are three LT supports:

~Blue line

~Red line

~Cloud: top and bottom

There is an Ichimoku Resource Centre thread which has links to educational videos:

The price targets of 230p and 370p are old swing highs, that is why I am referencing them.

simon gordon.

It's an interesting chart. Thank you.

Could you please explain tenkan sen) and (Ichimoku). I am not familiar with them. They seem to be Japanese.

Not sure what the relevance of the earlier higher sps are to today's share price as support indicators as they were so long ago and Tribal was a very different company to what it is today. Do you have a view on that?

Having said that, I firmly believe, all being well, that today's Tribal has the potential to reach 400p again and even exceed it but I wouldn't like to forecast when that might happen.

I would hope for a significant upward move after the full year's figures for 2013 are released next year. In fact, 2014 and 2015 could be very interesting years for Tribal as the extent of Tribal's recovery and potential become known and appreciated.

I will Google the Japanese bits.

illtud,

TA wise, I'm hoping that the blue line (tenkan sen) on the monthly Ichimoku is long term support in this correction. Next upside targets are 230p then 370p.

I've joined you guys today.

12.9x 2014 looks very good value as they march on to crack America. Should be on at least 15x, if not more.

There is a distinct head and shoulders formed in the chart and the share price has fallen well below the 30 and 50 day SMAs and dropped to the 200 day SMA. Also, news is not expected soon, as far as I am aware.

Hopefully, it will not fall further as there seems to be resistance at 170.

If it falls below 170, the next resistance seems to be at 150, followed by 140 and then 120.
