30/11/2013 18:01 | simon gordon. I've viewed the video and I was impressed. I also looked at what Tribal and Capita said on their websites about what their systems do for schools. As far as I can see, the Tribal system is very orientated towards providing support for pupil administration in the same way as SITS VISION handles student administration whereas the Capita system seems to me to be more directed towards infrastructure and resources in both schools and universities. If I am right, it fits in with what I understand about Tribal and Capita and there may be little competition between them. illtud | illtud
30/11/2013 15:54 | Synergy for Schools looks like it's going up against the big daddy in this space, Capita SIMS: SIMS (School Information Management System) is a world-class management information system used by over 22,000 schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Our solution has been developed specifically for the education sector and has been refined to meet the changing needs of schools over the last 25 years. Our system has a unique depth and breadth enabling schools to manage student and staff information across all areas of school life including registration, finance and payroll, timetabling, progress tracking and assessment, and whole-school communication. hxxp://www.capita-si Be interesting to find out what Synergy's USP is so that it can start displacing SIMS. | simon gordon
29/11/2013 20:38 | Illtud, What do you reckon to TRB's new software product for schools, Synergy? YouTube - 25/10/13: Synergy in Schools is a new on line management information system. It significantly reduces the time spent in managing the administrative, academic and behavioural data required in the day-to-day operations of a school. The solution includes a range of modules which have been developed with the objective of maximising school efficiencies, while minimising administrative overheads. Is this a new market for TRB? I don't think they've previously sold software systems to schools. | simon gordon
28/11/2013 12:28 | I think you're right about TA although I've only recently got into it and am still struggling. But it's the future prospects for Tribal that brought me here, not the charts. illtud | illtud
28/11/2013 12:00 | Yer I'm also skeptical of TA, not bulletproof but can often give you an idea especially when there is limited news. When we hit 207 back in sept that also hit a trendline indicating that if it broke it we would go further it didn't and now we're here, hopefully this is a sign of the way we're going now. I'm expecting a head back to 200 imo dyor bla bla etc gl ben | 11023154
28/11/2013 11:55 | You did it. Thanks. I have problems like that as well. I see it has definitely crossed the down trendline and it has crossed the 20 day sma as well. Looking good, imho. but I'm always cautious about timescales. illtud | illtud
28/11/2013 11:44 | Yer I'm trying but can't seem to load it up, don't know how to load up a chart onto here.... | 11023154
28/11/2013 11:41 | I tried to get your link 'file://brookesf1/s5 Is there any way you could get it to come up on here? | illtud

25/11/2013 21:19 | Canada could keep them busy for a number of years! WIKI on the States: The United States has a total of 4,495 Title IV-eligible, degree-granting institutions: 2,774 4-year institutions and 1,721 2-year institutions. As of 2010, the US had 20.3 million students in higher education, roughly 5.7% of the total population. About 14.6 million of these students were enrolled full-time. | simon gordon
25/11/2013 19:22 | It's a big market. Tribal have developed business in the USA in the Schools Sector and with the Military. As far as I am aware, the new contract in British Columbia is seen as a means of developing links with US universities. It all seems to be part of a plan. I suspect that given the size of Tribal and the way the company operates, growth will be slow but steady, even if they do crack the market. They will make sure they get each university right and that will take time and resources. I understand that in order to qualify to tender for higher value contracts within the USA, it is necessary for foreign companies to have a track record within the country. I don't know the details. I will have to find out, if I can. | illtud
25/11/2013 16:15 | ~"According to the U.S. Department of Education there are over 4,800 colleges and universities in the United States serving over 18,000,000+ students." *MyBudget.com ~161 universities in the UK. *Wiki. ~98 universities in Canada. *Wiki. | simon gordon
24/11/2013 10:30 | I should top up but I'm already fully committed generally. Just my luck. I'm waiting on news on a few. If just one of them comes through in the next week or so, I might be able to release funds. If the progress at this time of year during the past 2 years was repeated, we were due a sharp move North. However, they came on the back of the Autumn updates and the upward push hasn't happened this time. The next report is not due till the Spring. There may be a recovery between now and then, especially if people take advantage of this buying opportunity. Also Tribal has the habit of surprising us with sudden rises for no apparent reason illtud | illtud
23/11/2013 15:35 | Since the new growth story emerged in 2012 this is the first major correction in a 40p band, maybe 200p is a round number that will take some effort to get through...hopefully c.160p is support and a good buy point. | simon gordon
22/11/2013 20:01 | You're welcome. I'm a struggling learner so thanks for your pointers to Ichimoku. It looks like a lot of buys in the 160s late on. Closed at 166.75. illtud (An ancient Celtic warrior/priest/teach | illtud
22/11/2013 18:14 | Illutd, BTW thank you for your informative posts they helped me clue up quickly :-) | simon gordon
22/11/2013 17:57 | Illtud, On the monthly Ichimoku there are three LT supports: ~Blue line ~Red line ~Cloud: top and bottom There is an Ichimoku Resource Centre thread which has links to educational videos: The price targets of 230p and 370p are old swing highs, that is why I am referencing them. | simon gordon
22/11/2013 17:41 | Just looked up the terms on Investopedia, thanks. | illtud
22/11/2013 17:38 | simon gordon. It's an interesting chart. Thank you. Could you please explain tenkan sen) and (Ichimoku). I am not familiar with them. They seem to be Japanese. Not sure what the relevance of the earlier higher sps are to today's share price as support indicators as they were so long ago and Tribal was a very different company to what it is today. Do you have a view on that? Having said that, I firmly believe, all being well, that today's Tribal has the potential to reach 400p again and even exceed it but I wouldn't like to forecast when that might happen. I would hope for a significant upward move after the full year's figures for 2013 are released next year. In fact, 2014 and 2015 could be very interesting years for Tribal as the extent of Tribal's recovery and potential become known and appreciated. I will Google the Japanese bits. illtud | illtud
22/11/2013 16:47 | illtud, TA wise, I'm hoping that the blue line (tenkan sen) on the monthly Ichimoku is long term support in this correction. Next upside targets are 230p then 370p. | simon gordon
22/11/2013 16:00 | I've joined you guys today. 12.9x 2014 looks very good value as they march on to crack America. Should be on at least 15x, if not more. | simon gordon
22/11/2013 14:48 | Broken below 170. Where to now? It's a good job I have great faith in the Company. illtud | illtud |
