Netcurtains. Maybe but they state they have a strong order book so expecting growth. On point c nobody knows yet what will be the impact of brexit. It will take a few years before we know.

amt: (a) If you read post 289 (click on their link) you will see that Triad are employing LESS people, not more. (b) Triad have had BIG projects more or less finish this year (at least it looks that way) - namely the Electorial Commission software and software for the MoJ (I think online court type stuff). For Triad to GROW, not only will they have to replace these big projects with new ones but also find even more projects on top of that!!! (c) With a back drop of City jobs going to the EU and less tax revenue coming into public sector, where are these NEW jobs going to come from for 2018? Now most of us would be willing to take the risk and wait and see what happens come results in June but then this seller starts selling - and lets assume they still have some links to the chairman (why not? Good terms). Perhaps they know its peaked.... Having said all this, if if goes below 60p I'll definitely buy back - might even buy back anyway when the dust has settled - but there are currently too many unknown unknowns - why take all the extra risk?

Pe of 7.5 based on pre tax 1.5m profit per trading update. Strongish balance sheet. Forward pe could be less than 5. Eps of 20 for ye 2018 should be well within reach I would have thought. Market cap less than half one years sales, nearer to one third. Very strong growth in sales. Employing more people and trend to use fewer outside consultants should increase margins. Lets hope rapid growth continues giving opportunity for rerating.

I think this is a wonderful opportunity for either a bidder or for potential investors generally - the underlying trading picture is robust, and if the seller drip feeds more stock then the overhang creates a delightful opportunity. If a potential bidder is lurking, no better time to pounce... I took some today - will add more on any weakness.

'At close of business on 31 March 2017 the Company's issued share capital consisted of 15,489,579 ordinary shares of 1p each.' How many shares did Mira Makar have left anyway? Paul Atkinson (the Administrator to Miss Makar's bankruptcy) appears to have started out with 21.02% of the share capital (3,249,952 shares) on 7 April and appears to have sold 87,500 on 21 April and thereby reduced the holding to 20.45% (3,162,452 shares). Presumably, we need to find out if there is a plan for the market to absorb all these shares and if there is going to be c37 tranches of c87,500 sold on a regular basis and the effect of this on the share price Is this the correct way of looking at the situation?

OK - so this is the story (as far as I can tell)... All the money with the Insolvency people. So different outcomes: 1. They keep selling at whatever the price... 2. They drip feed sales (thus keeping price lowish for months) 3. They sell to "big" buyer (Almost like a take-over) - not likely in my view (but possible). 4. They sell to a group of big buyers, but they will all want a good price 5. They sell to ex-husband - but has he got the cash? I can't see a "GOOD" short term outcome to this news. So I sold the rest (which is no where near my original holding). However, 90% of the time I'm wrong - so probably expect to see share price rise loads next week and me crying - "if only". Clearly worth buying back in though - there is a big profit to be made out of this somewhere - if only I can see where.

I was unaware of this background from 2006. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2006/nov/07/3 ... and I'm not sure what to make of it.

The trustee in bankrupcy has a duty to creditors to realise the best price for the assets. Placing the shares with an institution might be one way. I'd expect it to take some time and to be handled through the company broker. It seems very unlikely that drip-feeding shares into the market will be the appropriate action.

Probably John Rigg will buy the whole lot. Probably a very good buying opportunity.

John Rigg (chairman) already owns 29% of the company. Is there a possibility he could be looking at these shares as part of a bid for the whole company?

Stepped out of #TRD today until the dust settles around the Mira Makar shares. This is a volatile stock at the best of times and I decided to protect profits. I will no doubt be back when there is more certainty. GLA.

spooky - it says so in the Holdings RNS down because of a potential overhang of shares, as mcfly suggests? with Finals not until June there is a potential opportunity ahead if the weakness continues imo

My reading of today's Holdings announcements is that the previous shareholder (Mira Makar - former CEO until 2005) is going through bankruptcy and that Paul Atkinson (as trustee in the bankruptcy) now controls the shares. A small amount of these shares have been sold. Please let me know if you disagree. The question is what is the intention for the remaining shares. I would hope that the company will be able to work with Paul Atkinson to find a home for the shares if the intention is to sell more or all of them. I don't believe that the company will need to go to the market for financing and therefore any short term share price movements shouldn't impact the strong current trading. I have recently taken a small position here and will be watching closely. I would certainly like the opportunity to add to my holding if the share price falls.

(election fraud charges relate to searches done using Triad Software at Election commission) From Guardian: 41m ago 15:57 Sturgeon claims May called early election partly because she is worried about Tories facing election fraud charges from 2015 Sturgeon claims that one of the reasons why Theresa May called a snap election was her fear that Tories would be charged in relation to alleged election fraud in 2015.

"IF" IF Triad decided to give a dividend each year of about £1M (that appears to be about the profit level we're at) then (if that equated to 5% interest) the share price would need to rise about 70% (otherwise the dividend payout would be nearer 10%). However I expect most IT companies that pay dividends probably give 1% at best - imagine what price that would equate to? But lets keep it real as we can. Based on potential dividend we could theoretically be trading at £1.40 come June (results time) and that is if they have won no new contracts (but if one assumes they have landed one or two new contracts then that would be a whole new ball game - £2 a share).

cfro: Any heavy use of "electorial commission" software is good for Triad. Put in your constituency and see whos paid for what and if anything looks dodgy: Electoral Commission

One assumes the announcement of 'yet' another General Election will equate to more business for TRD?
