Director Tim Eckes has moved £19k worth of his shares into an ISA for his annual ISA allocation. This turns some of his future dividends into tax-free income and he will have an expectation of a tax-free capital gain at some point with its current “cost” of £2.846 being the starting point.

Presumably included in free float as part of residual once non—free float element deducted.

Net curtains, thank you for your responses. Like you I think that figure just cannot be right. If say a pi holds shares via two different brokers, with some of those in an isa/sipp, how are those holdings regarded for the free float calculation? Or are they not?

Achenaton: I've gone over this further.
The major owners are listed on Simply Wall Street (going right down to those who own LESS than 1%).....

Its not possible that the FREE FLOAT is only 400K in that most of the owners in the list are not insiders.......

Something is either wrong with the stat or an awful lot of people have sold their shares to insiders without any RNSs being issued or the phrase "FREE FLOAT" has various no legal meanings.

Hopefully this will be sorted via the AGM....

Free Float figures on FT
It is very small..... (just 2.5%)

Theoretically free float should be over 10% or over 25% (depending on web site) so a free float of just 2.5% is tiny......,

Interesting...

At the beginning of march 2024 free float was 11.52% so free float has decreased by 8% in 4 months...
So........ Not sure what is going on....

Free float now showing as 2.64% being 439,500 shares. Can that be right?

Bought back some shares this morning. A modest amount of 2,675 which hasn't been reported yet. Interesting when that happens, that they should want to keep that amount quiet...

ALS: The past ten years of accounts will not help that much...
Triad is a very different company now....
The last time it had this many staff was back in the days
just before Triad got into the FTSE250... (back in 1990s)

If you BELIEVE in the expansion program and Triad does pull it
off there is nothing stopping it going all the way to the top
of the board.

This is a bit like 1996

Thanks. I respect your views but I am inclined to think that the company is growing and very assured by the chairman’s comments and the confidence shown by board members. They’ve invested heavily in TRD and I’m sure they know why. The next set of results will hopefully vindicate them and investors like me.

Take the trouble to look back over the last 10 year's accounts or so and you'll see that TRD has always been a small company with low gross margins and often not profitable.

I've seen lots of reasons for why this established trend is now going to change massively but as far as I am concerned none of them hold up to scrutiny.

Thanks for the info 1max. It explains the fall.
I most certainly disagree with Arthur_Lame_Stocks. Surely the information out there is telling us that this is a growing stock.
Anyway, does anyone know when the final dividend would be paid? It was paid in August last year. I guess we are awaiting the AGM (date yet to be announced). I would certainly be re-investing mine in more shares.

imax: We do know that Triad is expanding fast.
(see recruitment page).....
About £20m of new contracts since Christmas (and thats just ones we know).
Triad have blown last years turnover out of the water already
- by miles......
This has a £100m company written all over it - and more. Its expanding and
if it keeps going it will be a KNOS - or close....

Its a question of faith.

I BELIEVE.

With AI, IT is the place to be.....

I'm still holding a significant amount and I'mExcited. Just as the director is who paid £3.15 for a bunch of shares. Just as the Dixon family is, who has invested a huge amount, they also have previous for taking huge stakes in companies that are successful.

Congratulations, on doing so well out of TRD.

Personally I think the shares are probably significantly overvalued but does it matter if you've sold.

gleach23: We also have the AGM coming up which, if like last time, it will have a question and answer section so its a bit like a shareholders investment meeting..
If the AGM is to be early August we should get the date next week.
