I note this company suffered a sell off on the half year results, (that was followed by a very substantial rise.)

Those that believe this company is expensive, might like to look at the progress thats been made, I refer you to Triads : Annual Report and Accounts, published today.

From the Chairman, Outlook.


“In my Trading Statement dated 7th March 2024, I indicated that we should expect "a flying start for our new financial year beginning in April". I can now confirm that our progress since the year end has shown that my words have turned out to be a very substantial understatement. A transformation of our results is now being achieved in the current financial year”

Note the use of the word SINCE year end.

Trade Receivables £2.734 M: Up from £2.006M last year.

Note 17

Trade Payables £419,000: Down from £666,000 last year.


This shows income is going up at pace ( no bad debts ) and a big reduction in trade payables.

Since year end, the office tenant that sub let part of one of Triads offices has settled to leave early, no doubt, on advantages terms for Triad.

The other office Triad rents appears to be approaching the end of its lease.

Staff consultant numbers jumped to 116 by year end and are now over 130 and growing at a rapid pace, as per vacancies on the Triad Home page.

Results slightly ahead of my expectations....
Should be a good year.....
Possibly including a dividend rise at some point soon.

@Bones I am always dissapointed when growth doesn't follow year on year. I am not complaining about the share price just the results.

Share price got ahead of itself and unreliable. Positive outlook but it's all words and no figures.

Soundsplausible, if you check back to posts 122 to 125, you will see that readers of this thread had a good guide to expectations. We expected a loss for the year with a very rosy outlook. After the strong price run up, we also expected a sell off on the results, which should give a decent entry point for new and returning shareholders later in the summer. None of those posts involved hindsight but it means today’s results should not have been unexpected by investors.

Interesting that this time last year, you were also disappointed in the results yet the share price has since doubled. That must be a good omen!

Am very happy with my investment here. More than doubled plus a dividend.Numbers as expected, a statement that cash balances now expected to increase . All seems to be going to plan. After the doubters bail out it’s a blue sky share.I can’t see many bailing out either with these results and a wink wink indicating potential future dividend increases. Good luck all holders

Results as expected, next year is going to be the year for Triad. This year just finished was the building blocks and now we can look forward to bigger profits and dividends. Hold on and you will be rewarded.

Dividend

Recognising the strength of our business development performance this year and the Company's confidence in the long-term future, the Board proposes a final dividend of 4p per share (2023: 4p per share), which together with the interim dividend already paid of 2p (2023: 2p per share), totals 6p per share for the financial year (2023: 6p per share

i-phones on the other hand have billions of words in a database and do under stand what you say.
Generally speaking voice recognition is reasonably old tech.....

Not sure why McDonalds just dont say into their iphone "Hey Serie I want a big mac".....

On Monday, McDonald’s confirmed that it will end a global partnership with IBM for the use of AI at its drive thrus in the US. The fast-food chain has been testing artificial intelligence technology at select drive-thrus since late 2021.

This tells me “AI” has to have a perfection rate, on a par with the quality of the digital solutions Triad produces, and delivers to its clients.

As of now , we appear to be a long way off, if the worlds largest burger joint, can't get a few ordering sentences (that repeat millions of times a day),using AI, understandable by all.

Nvidia on the other hand is now the world’s largest company.

Triad software to takeover the world !!

If we were in the USA, one would expect Triad Technology to become an overnight MEME stock.

It would be very interesting, with just 16.8M shares in issue and no chance of the get out of jail card handed to GameStop last week. The company flooded the market with 45M new shares , after doing the same trick last month.

GameStop sold the shares at an average price of $28.50 each, according to Wedbush Securities. The stock sale comes three weeks after the company sold an additional 45 million shares, raising $933 million.

My personal view:

I never quite understood why the social media mob picked a share like Game Stop that would , ( and did, ) issue heaps more shares, that crushed the speculators.

June 13.

GameStop’s 2024 annual shareholder meeting was disrupted as servers crashed under overwhelming interest.

A customer service rep for ComputerShare, the company hosting the meeting, told CNBC its servers had apparently crashed because they weren’t accustomed to the amount of traffic the event had attracted.

The debacle comes amid a new meme stock craze that surged when Keith Gill — known as Roaring Kitty online — resumed posting on his social accounts after going dark for more than three years.
