07/12/2019 09:12 | Danger, maybe, but IFRS16 was introduced in Jan 2019 so me thinks plenty of time to come to terms with something that as you say, probably doesn't really impact TRD. I agree on the allegations against the company. Problem is mud sticks, rightly or wrongly. The divi is what is keeping me hanging in there. The longer the delay to the interims the more nervous I get. | 99matti99
06/12/2019 16:12 | I wouldn't think it has any material impact on the company, but I wonder if the slight delay compared to normal is due to the need to adopt IFRS16? In terms of what the results actually are, given the EV and fairly steady nature of the business, I will be very happy if they have made any accounting profit and the cash is around a similar level having paid out the large dividends. My hope is that they will be slightly less cautious and give a small increase in the dividend too. I am pretty sure that the allegations made against the company in the past are entirely false. | dangersimpson2
06/12/2019 14:55 | Low price long before both of those events. I will be happy if these red flags turn out to be false alarms. Been in this 3 years and underwater from day 2. | 99matti99
06/12/2019 13:03 | ...so if that is the reason the price is so low, if the results are still in the Black should we expect a massive rise? | netcurtains

25/11/2019 16:50 | You have certainly lost it!!!!! two words rental income... over 200k per year as a side project in a ltd company with just 19% cooperation tax. Ill hang onto them thanks...…..pl At only 40 percent leverage. Show me a stock that can produce that with minimal risk. Don't forget I own 145,000 shares of Triad. Come on you blues...….. | pride23s
25/11/2019 12:30 | pride23s: LOL you should have sold your houses ages ago. With remain dividend plus #WASPI cash (average 60 year old woman will get about £10K ) the country could see the biggest economic boom this nation has ever seen and TRIAD, being heavily into public sector work (about 75% of its business) we should see the share price had towards £5. Even if the evil CONs get in, with their new ID cards, passport controls, police, TRIAD will also do well. If any of your female relatives are in age range 60-69 (in particular born about 1954-55 they should be getting a massive windfall). But any of the birth dates in the nineteen fifties should do well. Here is the calculator: (quite likely developed by Triad - they do loads of work for the electoral commission) the WARD Triad's HQ is in (Godalming Surrey) recently (May 2019) elected a Labour councillor! | netcurtains
25/11/2019 11:38 | Vote labour are you insane...… I own a large property portfolio which wont bode well for me in new labour communist Britain …... | pride23s

24/11/2019 10:05 | Psst remember to vote LABOUR - it will help Triad PLC loads (voting CON does too but not as much as of course leaving the EU is an economic self inflicted economic wound). | netcurtains
21/11/2019 15:22 | What I like about talking to myself is that you know there are not many Day Traders here YETTTTTTTTTTTTTT.... | netcurtains
20/11/2019 15:14 | Is this true? Triad valued at just 7 million but has 5 million in the bank???? Is this true? Triad gives you 6.82% interest on your money (dividend)???? Is this true? Triad dividend probably around about the end of November???? Is this true? Triad make between 250k and 1m most years and they bung the money into their cash pile??? Is this true? Triad stand to do well after the election as both main parties have said they will spend like mad - especially in the HOME OFFICE and or more investment in the police force (a big customer of Triad)???? If all this is true it cant be that long before share price starts to go up...... | netcurtains
12/11/2019 12:08 | Triad interim results in November. Not meant to be particularly good (eg share price) but bottom line is CASH PILE is getting bigger and bigger each year - relative to share price. It has NET Cash of about 5 MILLION and a market cap of about 7 MILLION - thus 70% of its share price is covered by CASH and it makes about 1 million a year (or perhaps less this year) thrown in for free. In a couple of years, if the share price does not rise, Triad will have more money in the bank then its share price - surely that is an IMPOSSIBLY LOW SHARE PRICE THAT CANNOT HOLD? | netcurtains
23/9/2019 17:05 | That is interesting probably related to todays mini sell off | pride23s
23/9/2019 14:50 | Wow Nick Burrows has handed in his resignation. I've no idea if there is anything more behind this but he was in the firing line for a lot of the MM flak. | kinwah

15/8/2019 11:22 | Short feedback from yesterday's AGM: Meeting itself was quite formal (unsurprising given background). Board had arranged for a shareholder lunch after the AGM to ask questions individually which I also joined. Several shareholders also asked for a brief Q&A in the formal meeting which was granted. (Some questions are best asked in an open forum IMO.) Points raised, to the best of my recollection: - Current Strategy - return the company to previous levels of turnover & profitability. My opinion: probably a big ask in the current climate but the company is approaching it in the right manner by increasing consultant headcount and focussing on being a trusted partner who can deliver. Probably could do with a bit more specialism rather than aiming to deliver everything to everyone. Corporate Governance - Plans to add another independent non-exec to replace the retiring director. Not necessarily someone from IT background, more important to get someone willing to challenge exec board and ensure accountability. - Cash balance - no plans to distribute beyond normal dividends. Want the company to be rock solid and cash gives them the ability to weather any storm. My opinion: I still think they are overcapitilised in the short term but can understand why they may be cautious given the current political climate. - Shareholder Communication - They recognise that the company is very lowly rated by the market but weren't willing to commit to specific actions to address this, although they may be open to commissioning a broker's note at some point or maybe attending an investor event. My opinion: I still think reporting trading statements, as well as just results, would help - although they made the point that the business can be hard to forecast so trading statements may add little understanding to the market. - Other tidbits - Don't use recruitment agencies so if they make contractors permanent they don't have to pay out big fees. Industry reputation is very important to them, for example, won't bid for fixed cost tenders because of the risk that scope-creep damages their reputation for delivery. In summary, I left with the opinion that this is a very conservatively run company, with a board and staff that are very committed to its long-term success and would not do anything that would undermine that future. This is in sharp contrast to the way that the company has been portrayed by some people. That said, this is a company that will pursue success in its own way, and given the shareholder register, smaller shareholders will probably have little influence on how the company operates in terms of cash holdings, market communications etc. If you can live with that reality I think the potential cash flow characteristics of the company make this a compelling long-term, investment albeit one that will require some patience. | dangersimpson2 |
