21/8/2019 18:27 | A doré bar is a semi-pure alloy of gold and silver. It is usually created at the site of a mine and then transported to a refinery for further purification. The proportions of silver and gold can vary widely. Doré bars weigh as much as 25 kg. Krispy ,lse The initial pour has resulted in 2% gold content, typically a dore bar created at a Gold mine will contain up to 80% gold. Our process is new so we don't yet know what the average content will be, we do not know the weight of the Bar so cannot calculate the weight of gold produced, but we believe it will be cheaper to produce than mining. If we assume the weight of the Bar just produced to be similar to that of the average miner it will be 25kg ., so 50g, (Say 2.0oz), which is $2,400 at today's Spot Gold price of $48.32. So the question is, are we going to produce 25,000 Bars of similar content, or are we going to improve the content produce less. Either way the Management at SPMP are confident of 50,000 oz per annum. | thefartingcommie
21/8/2019 18:20 | When they say dore bar, do they mean an antimony-gold alloy ingot still with a fraction of impurities to be refined out? | dr rosso

19/8/2019 07:29 | Well it isn't the first metal ore I'd been expecting to have been declared as commercial grade! But glad to see them moving in the right direction. Surely this must begin to move north in anticipation of production. | ppvn
05/8/2019 14:49 | I bought some of these last week, I believe they are undervalued at this point in time and could show a pretty handsome return once the roaster is working to capacity. Antimony at $6k / tonne and gold at $1450 - it's nearly $200mm of revenue at full capacity. Because of the slightly odd nature whereby Tri-star are effectively a 40% owner of the mill it's quite a tricky one to value - I have no idea of the input costs for example - but I just have a feeling that in the 6 month to 1 year timeframe this could prove a solid bet. Fingers crossed, anyway! Anyone else have any strong views one way or the other? At £35m market cap for 40% of a roaster that can provide a huge chunk of the global antimony supply this seems cheap. | ppvn

22/7/2019 07:10 | Following the completion of the remedial works to one of the two SPMP antimony smelting furnaces ('RF1') and the installation of a new gas cooling solution, first antimony has been produced at a purity of 98%. As production increases, this is expected to rise to in excess of 99.65%, the level required for commercial sale. With the process proven, SPMP intends to begin the immediate ramp up of production with and to commence replicating the successful remedial works conducted at RF1 at the second furnace ('RF2') to reach full production during 2020. The Board is confident about the demand fundamentals of antimony and looks forward to the ramp up and commercial sales. | thefartingcommie
