Trakm8Fan: Yes she was CEO of Smart Driver until Feb this year, so as a former client of Trakm8 she'll soon be up to speed and also know Trakm's BOD.
It sounds like she's the fresh blood we need with, as you mention, 'networking in the insurance sector'.

Deltaham: I didnt even know about this. 2 minutes clicking shows her having been at Smart driver club. Then it looks like she left along with several others in Feb 20 just as Calamp Uk became new owner. So seems to say to me that she will help with networking in the insurance sector. Which is where I think we will make our money.

See old man Watkins been spending money on marketing or was that Hunt-Masons parting gift!. more importantly, they may have a glossy new front cover but have they fixed the tech issues I hear not, still overheating, falling off the windscreen and videos failing, still no FNOL or ADAS pretty poor for a product launched over 2 years ago. Heard lost 3 large fleet deals recently due to failing tech, any other CTO would've been walked out the door by now!

Hot off the press. Trak had a review yesterday to all staff. Announced new partners for insurance but no sales yet 2019 sales were published at 71k units for insurance so blondie was pretty close. Nikkis team were 19% up on previous year’s new business and 35% including existing renewals, they said what a great job she had done. My mate is close to Nikki and Sean and believes they left as no bonuses were paid for last year new guy Peter stopped commission ongoing for this year. All told not to speak to either of them so just be legal!!. contact believes they have both been inundated with offers and will pop up very soon elsewhere. Why I’m I telling you this, my pal got me to invest in Trak and he still has shares but believes they are still flogging a dead horse. New guy following Nikkis strategy so he’s bringing nothing new to the table, he hasn’t got contacts, any telematics experience or indeed Nikkis looks and personality! Dealers growing and getting all tracks focus (is cash upfront model so that fits in with cash flow issues) and Watkins said Churn is far too high with still too many tech failures. Think I may take my money elsewhere....

I had enough of this and dumped mine. Unpleasant loss but I have already used that money to get decent increases elsewhere.
Perhaps I'll regret it but this is not the same company / play I made when originally investing in Trakm8.
It's now a turnaround play with little chance of success in my opinion.
If I want to put money into a turnaround venture there are better options.

I suspect, there are more than 15 telematics companies in the UK.
Anyway, doesn't hurt to be on this framework.
The real news however is Bymiles securing £15m funding.
Trak isn't their only supplier, but may be of their hardware. Either way, more good news.

I’m with Blondie. Churn rate much much higher than 10%. Most Roadsense and RM customers left. Apparently Peter telling people the board are Pale, All Male and stale. That says it all! . I’m told Nikki was bought in to transform sales only old man Watkins wouldn’t let her so she was hugely frustrated and resigned some months ago. Big offer to join Big Change. I’m told she hasn’t been short of offers so I’m sure her and the team will pop up soon. Hope this turnaround guy clears all the Watkins out . It’s the only chance of Trak survival!
