23/9/2018 19:46 | knowbodyyouno 19 Sep '18 It was an opinion not analysis. Oh lord, imagine not knowing the difference! | slartybartfaster
22/9/2018 17:23 | Would be nice to see some licensing activity too. Could be the adas algorithms, big data mining, or even supporting (shock horror) other hardware platforms to provide some legacy fleet support. Still not convinced the manufacturing route over the road is a good one. Personally the idea of the unit being the vehicle hub and hanging off all applications is the best way forward but It hard to see how that can be competitively priced as road hawk has sold so little and you definitely need the option to bring in route monkey optimisation in at the flick of a switch. I would try, at least, to complete the integration from the tech and ip already bought. To me that value is far greater than building a manufacturing facility. I would advise anyone to go to Coleshill and see the operation. | emptycup
22/9/2018 16:24 | Previously Trakm8 made an RNS on the day of their partner get together. I think if they have any juicy news they will do it in advance of a customer day, to get more customers there. Gives us almost 10 days until the potential news. Now more than ever, the only thing that is going to move the needle on this stock is some big news. e.g a) AA have committed to Car Genie to the tune of X00,000 units b) x Insurer has selected Trakm8 for their tech and last year they ordered X00,000 units c) x orders X00,000 units a year and has taken a stake in Trakm8 d) A fleet with X0,000 vehicles has committed to the fleet product Any feeble attempt to jack up the price with a weak RNS e.g a) X has just launched a company and selected Trakm8 with dreams of big things b) X Insurer who is already a (non-delivering) Partner of Trak is launching x soon Will be met with a loud boo and a further drop. Personally, I hope that it will be the barnstormer we all hope for (Trade or PE Sale) and that is why the Old Fogies put another 240k in and the BoD could not, as it was know. GLA and let us watch the next few weeks. | 40toolong
19/9/2018 19:53 | Oh Lordy.. Best part of 2 years ago, buddy. No one cares. The point being made was that your analysis was about a useful and well thought out as a chocolate teapot. Come back with some reasoned and empirically supported analysis, if you want anyone to take you seriously. | knowbodyyouno
19/9/2018 17:16 | dc2, "The effect of Brexit and increased raw material prices is estimated to have decreased our gross margin by 2%. The total cost in the year of Brexit including adverse currency movements was £0.6m." Sounds like the bod are offering excuses not realising they're essentially warning of another profit warning ahead, rather amateurish imo. | slartybartfaster
18/9/2018 17:07 | When I last checked the two Clarke brothers were in their late 50's. Apparently, they attended last week's AGM. Would be interested in knowing their connection with John Watkins. My suspicion is that they backed him in earlier times. | bottomfisher
18/9/2018 16:01 | Presumably, explains why most recent trades have been 'off-book', according to the LSE reporting. | knowbodyyouno
18/9/2018 13:39 | "The company secretary is aged 91 (hopefully she has a Car Genie attached to her mobility scooter)". Can we get her to sign up to Route Monkey to organise her shopping trips? | dave2608
18/9/2018 12:58 | Ha! If you scroll further down in the RNS there seems to be a breakdown of who the beneficiaries are - although I haven't yet looked them up. | knowbodyyouno
18/9/2018 12:46 | According to Companies House, Edric Property & Investment is indeed controlled by the Clarke brothers. The company secretary is aged 91 (hopefully she has a Car Genie attached to her mobility scooter). | pj0077
18/9/2018 12:38 | A little bit of good news. Whilst the board of directors has failed to top up their stakes at these depressed levels it is mildly reassuring to see Edric Property and Investment, Trak's second biggest shareholder, increase its stake marginally to 10.0% at an estimated cost of around 240,000 pounds. Know very little about Edric which is believed to be controlled by two brothers who have been long-term investors in Trak. | bottomfisher
18/9/2018 07:49 | Slarty, yes Brexit - a simple bit of research would reveal "The effect of Brexit and increased raw material prices is estimated to have decreased our gross margin by 2%. The total cost in the year of Brexit including adverse currency movements was £0.6m." Link - (Preliminary Results for the year ended 31 March 2017) hxxps://irpages2.equ | dc2
17/9/2018 16:34 | IMO the "common sense" summary from post 2981 omits the ever changing landscape the company has had to navigate. This includes the move to SaaS and the uncertainty caused by Brexit. On that basis I see the summary as lazy (and inaccurate given that the dividend issue was a filing error). However, there are some questionable things in the company's approach such as whether a company this size really needs to be that responsive that it needs to manufacture (JW mentioned lead times and contract length time in the video). I got the feeling that the BOD are being somewhat wishful with nothing solid. I hope that I am wrong and that these imminent contracts soothe my concerns. I see Trakm8 as a fledgling company making rookie mistakes as it grows and learns. It is not without risk but I remain a long term holder. | dc2
17/9/2018 15:43 | Good to see some reasonable volume today. 2 fairly chunky buys. Onward and upwards | knowbodyyouno
17/9/2018 07:57 | Yes, hoping for a few good weeks of good news, even a really really badly worded RNS with a new contract would go down well. | keepquiet
17/9/2018 07:08 | Hopeful for news on these 'imminent' contracts, this week or next. GLA | knowbodyyouno
16/9/2018 17:11 | It could be a case of mistaken identity. Wasn't PJ1 the mod for this thread. Very telling if so as it would seem elrico has talked him round after a few pints. They appear to be good buddies or whatever they call it up north. Btw i do not do twitter, it was sent to me by email, so it is save to conclude its doing the rounds. PJ 1 Retweeted elrico Common sense summary here. If in doubt keep away. I suspect rather than looking to buy TRAK, the AA is preferring to screw margins lower. How can TRAK refuse? #TRAK #shortandcurlies | slartybartfaster
15/9/2018 18:44 | Watkins does come across well in the video. However, the q&a was a bit like a school teacher talking to class. Not convinced on the manufacturing answer and the response regarding licensing of adas was weird. Mobileeye and Seeing are happy to license and I have not seen any application of road hawk doing that in the market. Road hawk was not a smart acquisition. | emptycup
15/9/2018 17:32 | post 2970 exactly my thoughts. And they strategically bought the co. he founded too, box, IIRC. | rimmy2000
