Blond -Thanks for clarifying. I very rarely publicly post -and normally not on this ADVFN board -as sadly it has suffered -excessively in my opinion -at the hands of Voldermort. Investing -as opposed to trading is about seeing residual value in a share -here it is in spades. It will take, in my view, some 18 months to fully rehabilitate itself in the eyes of the investing community -not a long time -and I would anticipate new people controlling -but not running -the business by then.
If you want to check me out I have a modest investment in SEV (inter alia).I can provide a view -often acquired from Chairman level access - if you feel it helpful.Regards

As a very new poster on this Board -I am reluctant to post from ignorance -and there may be every reason for you to make the observation above. Had it not been been for Blonds undying -if not totally transparent -slavish support to Trak I would not have invested a modest amount to date -and will continue so to do. The information he provides is highly relevant -if perhaps minor -in the larger scheme of things -and more often timely. I for one respect his energy and loyalty to this company -which for me offers unusually compelling investment prospects. This is a personal view and in no way diminishes my respect for you. Regards.

More deals made, on the most margin rich part of the company, Fleet:

Historically they always get them out on the first day of the CV Show so that is my strong guess.

At the risk of sounding lazy: are results 25th April? It took them a good while after last year's end IIRC.

Results will be out on the 25th April so a clearer picture will be painted then. Telematics is having a second wind now. Some over investment and poor PR skills have held back Trakm8 but they are aware of that IMO

Blondeamon its currently only 0.3% of my portfolio so not material enough for me to keep track of individual contract wins. That doesn't mean I've invested blindly.

I'm well aware of the financial performance over the last couple of years. I don't have a detailed picture at a contract level though. In any case the profitability level associated with these contracts is key.

We all have differing investing strategies. The Results of those strategies, not the level of knowledge in any one Company, determine the success of an Investor.
I'd suggest that the more you research a Company then the more chance you fall in love with it, so it's impossible to look at it openly, to end up being cheated on.

No matter how much you have researched TRAK, and trust in the Management and products then the last 12 months has been a disaster, one that may well take 2 years to reverse. A lot of wasted time and effort so far I'd say, and coupled with missing out on a Bull Market. In the Kingdom of the Blind...............

Ok so you spend money blindly lol, all good then.

Yes there's 70% sales growth on the contract and they didn't even consider this RNS worthy. I am keeping an optimistic view that with the April update we will hear about 2-3 deals at once.

Mkt Cap now is £27.5m and recurring revenue is around £9.5m.

Valuation here is insane, if we book a few deals worth 2m or above this can quickly go back to 300p short term. Number of devices is key and we have increased our partners recently, Penny Searles especially is one to watch. She is a class on her own in getting deals done.

I think risk is to the upside now.

@blondeamon keep your hair on. I have a small position I took in the placing. It's not big enough for me to spend too long on. Good to see sales growth there then.

Original was 1m£ - posters here are extremely lazy and ignorant. Seriously, if you know nothing about the company why do you even invest?

@blondeamon but its a contract extension. Do we know what the value of the current contract was? Does this increase revenue or just continue what was currently coming from Marmalade?

That intrview is 1 month old and posted here at the time, Telegraph must be running out of articles.

This one on the other hand is brand new:

"Telematics and data firm Trakm8 has won a £1.7m contract extension from car insurer Young Marmalade to provide insurance telematics solutions.

The AIM-listed company will add to its initial provision of T10 micro hardware and data services to Young Marmalade for their young drivers insurance product, which first announced in February 2015.

Trakm8 executive chairman John Watkins said: "We are delighted to extend this relationship as the range of services and demand increases. This contract provides additional visibility for our expectations for this financial year and beyond."

Marmalade trustpilot reviews (all verified orders) have skyrocketed in February and March 2017. I went back a few years to check volume and the difference is visible in 2017.

I think March has been a very good month for the number of devices installed. We'll know soon but I think we'll just be shy of 200,000 devices. And with the recent rises in IPT a much larger % of young drivers will switch to telematics this year.

Between Direct Line, Marmalade, SmartDriverClub and Allianz we are really becoming a big player in insurance telematics.

No idea where that 60% figure above came from?

I actually had a 75% success rate in 2016, and a 62% success rate in 2015.

Also, this has been pretty good:

As regards TRAK, who knows what will happen? I took some stock in the recent placing at 65p. Risk:reward seems quite good at that level. Obviously DYOR as usual.

Paul.
