Tracsis is to help the NHS set up vaccine centres:
Tracsis, which helps run major events such as Glastonbury, The Grand National, Cheltenham Festival and the British Grand Prix, is working with the NHS and local authorities to set up Covid-19 vaccination centres. Tracsis has been asked to pitch for various local authority contracts and the first centres could be set up as early as next month, ready for the roll out of a vaccine.Chris Barnes, Tracsis’ chief executive, said: “It’s a strange world at the moment. We’re actually winning work in places we didn’t know we could win work.

“The Government is now looking at how to get 60 million people vaccinated in the next few months. That’s quite a significant logistics exercise. We are being asked to pitch for activities that we didn’t even need as a society six months ago as they didn’t exist.”Tracsis will be working with local authorities to run the new vaccination centres.

“I imagine most people will arrive in their car, therefore, the type of event traffic management services we provide is ideally placed to support these activities” said Mr Barnes.

“The UK needs to get 60 million plus people vaccinated over as quick a period as possible. Each vaccination centre will be like managing a massive festival or a major sporting event.

“We’ve been approached in the last few weeks, out of the blue really, but it’s a perfect fit for our skill set.”

Tracsis is keen to get the contracts up and running so it can get furloughed staff back to work.

“For everybody’s mental health, we want people back at work. It is looking increasingly positive,” said Mr Barnes.

“With a vaccine centre, it’s all about how you get a very large volume of people in and out of a facility safely so you don’t cause a massive disruption in whatever part of the city or the countryside where that vaccine centre is.”

Tracsis is currently bidding for the work and the first contract is due to start in December.Tracsis is also working with the events industry to come up with innovative ways to hold large scale events next summer.

“Most people want to run big events next summer, but it’s all dependent on whether the mass vaccination programme has taken full effect, or,we have quick tests ready,” said Mr Barnes.

Management has prudently decided to withhold the dividend which will save £0.6m.

Clearly some activities have taken a big hit but with plenty of cash at its disposal Tracsis looks in decent shape, according to Investor's Champion.

Excellent results when one compares to others in the midst of a pandemic. Good contracts and future prospects are excellent (Two major rail contracts in latter stages of negotiation).

The development and modernisation of the north of England rail will add TRCS another huge income and growth. The majority of controls - from hardware to software - will be supplied by TRCS.

I think if they just make a hint that they are starting to expand in the US, it will go beyond £10 within a few months. The software and the niche market are unique. Expanding in the US means exponential growth. So if one compares TRCS to a similar software such as KNOS (with market cap = almost 9 times etc.), I can see a great value on here thus why it is undervalued. With expansion - perhaps even in Europe - this can easily go to £15 - £20 in a just 1 - 2 years.

Yes apologies for that typo yesterday, it should have said *wouldn't* be surprised to see it go beyond £6. Given the move up today it looks possible we'll move back towards £7 on the results which would be in line with the improving wider market sentiment. Back in March, the price fell from £7.80 on the 9th to £4.25 on the 20th - unsurprisingly they take it back up a lot more slowly ;)

74tom - Improving economic conditions will trigger more activities thus more rail and road traffic - all requiring services from the likes of TRCS. This is with or without Brexit as this is mainly based in the UK with expansion plans in the US (with traffic 100 times more dense than in the UK) which will increase its growth by ten folds. I will hold the shares for at least for a few years.

Very left behind... currently 532p to sell & 530p to buy, so I've added a few more - seemed stupid not to. Should see a bounce to at least £6 next week, but given the current improving environment I wouldn’t be surprised if it went a lot higher.

Thanks bunz3 - I thought it was the time to buy this gem before the results on the 26th. My view is that it will fly if it flags up any positive particularly on deploying its unique technology in the US and also Europe.
Regarding NCYT, I agree it has taken the lead in testing. For the vaccine euphoria, regardless if they say it has side effects or not, or if it can reach billions quickly or not, it will take a considerable time for the supply chain to helping it work its way through to countries and continents; plus the volumes. Then once the press say there is a possible hurdle, Covid stocks will fly. I cannot feel 100% confident a vaccine can be successfully developed in less than 18 months. At the moment everything is holding on sentiments including the vaccine.
