These hit >90p back in 2008. Seem to be climbing a wall of worry since. Still recently they look to have climbed off the bottom...... might not be a bad bet at these levels FWIW

Again, I think most serious investors should look at the jobs list on the website.

Marketing and Communications Manager

"Frequent travel within the UK will be required including overnight stays. Overseas travel may be required including travel to Saudi Arabia / Middle East."

I don't think they don't have much in the way of much submarine business in this region so looks like the Engineering unit.
They did have a sizeable contract in Saudi for heat exchangers but that was a few years ago.

We live in interesting times (though this is part of an ancient Chinese curse ).

some market noise......

uptick in US defence stocks on Trump's plans......should migrate across the pond at some stage

There's a market growing in small nuclear power stations (25MW) around the world, located where existing large nuclear power stations aren't. I've seen figures between 40 and 100 such units. It's a clear nuclear industry market segment as are also "mobile smaller units" to meet energy market demands. US firms are active with trials underway.

Better to be playing into market pull than demand push

hxxps://www.niauk.org/about-us/our-members/ seems like they are also members of the NIA through their engineering division. A very difficult market to make waves in but it seems like they are being proactive. It's nice to see a brand new market approach that fits in with a strategy. They seem to have really stepped up their BD presence if the new orders are anything to go by.

That kind of profile can add real value. More importantly people like Jeremy don't risk reputations on also rans......he's head of growth businesses at TPG's broker. They can be the power behind the throne of high growth businesses in so many ways. Rerating should follow as Jeremy's network back his judgement.

I fully endorse.

Another non exec appointed to the board, it would seem that directors want to make sure the company takes advantage of a healthy order book which is likely to see the start of a strong growth phase. They have the team in place to do this now as well as any new acquisitions. Wonder if they have one in progress? As long as it is as earnings enhancing as the ALS Tech and Flexible Solutions acquisition, then we have much to look forward to here.

"Andrew McCree, Non-Executive Chairman of TP Group, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Jeremy to the Board of TP Group as he brings a wealth of experience of working with high growth companies and capital markets engagement. Jeremy's appointment to the Board follows that of Phil Holland which, combined with our existing board members, provides us with the appropriate M&A, industry and capital markets experience as we seek to capitalise on our new business pipeline and execute our stated growth strategy."

Bullster, I appreciate that you have confined your list to management purchases in 2016 but people should be aware that the CEO Phil Cartmell has purchased many shares prior to 2016 at a considerably higher price and worth well over £200k.

Just a little snippet I came across today (dated Dec 2016)and it relates to our very close friend and long term customer BAE.

BAE Systems currently employs around 1,800 to work on the Dreadnought class and expects this figure to rise to about 5,000 to 6,000 at its peak. “We will be recruiting 1,000 additional employees over the next few years across all of our functions, from project management to engineering and manual trades, and I’m looking for between 200 to 300 engineers to join our team,”

Perhaps this sheds some light on the recent acquisition.
