Markets are choppy and the share price has been relatively stable. The AGM will be held at 10.30am on Thursday 7 June 2018 maybe a bit of news or a positive statement?

The relatively light selling has been matched by a buyer that has upped his price a fraction to pick up more. It might need another announcement, or a tip, to push them to the next level, but in the meantime, there appears to be very little downward pressure.

Micropore has landed a great deal here and the TPG guys will know that.

Micropore has teamed up with a company that supplies submarine air purification to a very large number of countries, is the go to company for new builds and has a multi million service contract with the Royal Navy.
I think the benefits to Micropore will be equally reflected in the financial benefit to TPG.
This is certainly a two way deal.

(I noticed the our friends ANALOX popped up when I was looking at this: It's a small world !)

The $ is strong compared to the £. So from a US perspective Micropore may be getting lower cost suppliers. If TPG was to price its output in $'s it might benefit.

Must be good news, feels like they are acquiring an additional business relationship and all without spending any money.

From the TPG website:

In addition to above statement, Doug McKenna, Chief Executive of Micropore, Inc. commented:

"One of Micropore's challenges was successfully bridging the integration gap between customers that want to utilize our advanced adsorbent technology, and the compatible systems knowledge and hardware to complete the installation.

"TP Group is actively launching products and systems that take direct advantage of our ExtendAir® adsorbent technology.

"With TP Group we look forward to broadening support of submarine customers, and establishing product offerings in adjacent markets."

Now that makes interesting reading "actively launching products"

Looks very good to me !!

I wasn't aware of a prior relationship? I cant recall it ever being mentioned

"This partnership is a valuable extension to our existing relationship with Micropore and sets up a valuable new transatlantic link for the Group as we pursue our international growth plans,

Good luck TrentEndBoy ….the momentum is building now

Logic tells me that the new partnership will have specific cross selling opportunities identified & planned and may well have a contract in course of discussion already....such an announcement would be a major boost.

I had reached my share holding threshold earlier this year however I am seriously tempted to add a few more now on the back of the continual positive news flows. GLA

Good news again - could tick faster now - any US news is great as they sure know how to spend money on defense plus builds in yet more credibility.

My first buys were in the low double figures so getting back there slowly

Heading home from the land of Becks and fells so a bit of a rush this morning.
The only slight reservation with my investment in TPG was the fact that a new technology could come along and dent their submarine business.
I had read about this company and its product so I am very happy about this significant move.
The TPG guys certainly don't stand still !!!

Things are looking good.

Here is a link to their website:

Micropore was founded in March of 1997. Micropore manufactures reactive plastics which incorporate various powders into a molded matrix. The company's first product uses a CO2 adsorbent powder which is formed into a cartridge to create a revolutionary CO2 adsorbent system used in rebreathing and life support applications. The patented technology is the first major advance in CO2 adsorbent technology in over 100 years, providing superior performance advantages over existing granular adsorbents.

The CO2 adsorbent cartridges are marketed under the ExtendAir brand name and are used for life support in the fire-fighting, medical, dive, submarine and military markets.

The US Navy and British Royal Navy recently approved ExtendAir® lithium hydroxide CO2 absorbent as their emergency CO2 control solution in the event of a Disabled Submarine (DISSUB). The Royal Navy retrofit is almost complete and the US Navy has started the retrofit process for the Virginia-class submarine. Our national stock number for the US Navy product is NSN 6810-01-560-3015, Micropore part number RM-0601C. In a direct comparison at the US Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) of hanging curtains of ExtendAir® absorbents and granule absorbents, ExtendAir® absorbents rate of CO2 absorption was 2 to 5 times better than the granule curtains.

See this link for more information on the Royal Navy’s decision process to outfit ExtendAir® curtains for their fleet.
