20/2/2020 13:25 | I agree with SMeister that details of a farm out will see this shoot to over a penny. I suspect we will see the majority of the gain without seeing any RNS. I did not attend the presentation my self but have watched it a couple of times on the net. JA seems confident that the farm out will get done and refers to discussions as "advanced" on several occasions as well as saying he is "very confident that a farmout will be done. On a separate point the RNS on Wednesday morning had some key detail: "Management's present view, subject to further work and confirmation of equipment availability, is that it would like to spud the well in the course of June 2020" AND "Some testing equipment will still need to be mobilised prior to spudding the well, along with personnel, and so this intended date is still subject to change." Just looking at these two segments of the RNS tells me they are serious and are now moving forward at the expected pace. They have already asked about the Rigs latest lead time and await confirmation as well as testing equipment availibility. The key bit for me is the reference to personnel which is IMO bedrock drilling and Phil "Flintstone" Church who are currently drilling in Gabon. Now this is where it gets a bit interesting. Phil Church the guy who we (and presumably potential partners)has done a lot of successful drilling for New Age in the Cameroon. JA specifically mentions this. Put that into the context that New Age already have a 50/50 jv with us in SA and are already expanding in the Cameroon and it would appear they are the secret Partner (or part partner) And finally from the Wednesday morning RNS "The Company has made considerable progress in farm-out discussions with a number of parties regarding some or all of the well funding, including exchanging draft term sheets, following a pause in discussions that took place while the Company was waiting for formal confirmation of the extension of the current exploration period of the Thali PSC. The Company believes that it will be able to complete a farm-out within its desired timeframe for the NJOM-3" Adding it all up the evidence seems to suggest that this time the Green light really is on. Let the lemmings sell. Some stop loss selling today the way it's been rushed IMO bit of cheap stock around at around yesterdays lows. This will not last long IMO. There are buyers around. | oilmanmike
20/2/2020 11:15 | A farm out alone will see this double or treble, depending on the terms, and there's a fair to reasonable chance that will happen in the next month or so..spud date should follow the farm in and push this even higher, one should not be underestimate the ballistic properties of micro oilies like trp, these tiddlers can go orbital rapidly on any positive news. It seems Jim has fallen in love with his beloved GBP,big mistake, never fall in love with a penny share, treat them all with the contempt that they deserve and monetise,at least, some capital on any rises. | schachmeister
20/2/2020 10:37 | Correct, it can sometimes be that easy !! | mr hangman
20/2/2020 10:31 | Jim, I do not want to talk about 'doormant' companies, like GBP, It was your good self that was harping on about them yesterday both on here and the trp lse board. I have scant interest in 'doormant' penny shares,I only invest in active ones that have near term (3/6months)prospects If you want to make money, invest in active micro's,like Tower, where you can expect a regular stream of newsflow over the coming months, which in turn, should create opportunities to return some capital gains. | schachmeister
20/2/2020 09:57 | Whats that got to do with the price of fish ? | wildcat1
20/2/2020 09:53 | Jimarilo, remind us, how many drills have GBP done in the last 10 years ? | mr hangman
20/2/2020 09:51 | "Now remind me which project GBP are working on ?" If you want to talk GBP you are on the wrong bb. Over 4 Bln barrels PEL29&94 The SB1 conference in Oslo on the 26th will give a steer to how things are developing in Namibia & S/A, also that evening a Frontier reception in London that evening also involving the regional players | jimarilo
20/2/2020 09:50 | This when people were making real money from 0.8p to 1.5p lol. mr hangman 13 Mar '18 - 12:57 - 24732 of 26075 Lambs to the slaughter | soulsauce
20/2/2020 09:44 | mr hangman you do make me laugh. It's amazing how people change their stance depending on which side of the trade they are on and you are no exception. I nearly spit my breakfast out reading your post sticking up for Asher, rotfl!! | soulsauce
20/2/2020 09:34 | Jim,GBP are a dormant company, they aren't doing 'anything' and have no plans to do anything other than sit in their office twiddling each others thumbs ! Tower,on the other hand, are actively working on the Thali project and have recently completed the site survey, they are advanced in farm out talks and targeting a June drill. So lots happening and a steady stream of news can be expected over the coming months to keep investors interested. Cameroon is a large project for a company of Towers size and it could be transformational if all goes to plan...Now remind me which project GBP are working on ? Is it the 'twiddle your thumb project' by any chance ? | schachmeister
20/2/2020 07:46 | But is it transformational , like it is at PANR ! | jotoha2
20/2/2020 07:29 | I would like to add, at least Jeremy delivers here, 3 drills in Uganda, 1 massive glowing in the dark Namibia, 1 drill in Kenya, plus a few deals thrown in, maybe not the the results investors wanted, what exactly has the BOD at GBP done in the last 10 years....nothing, just sit taking the cash.Having spoken to Jeremy on Tuesday evening, he has promised plenty of news this year and in his own words "this is a very exciting year for Tower" | mr hangman
20/2/2020 00:35 | Schac The fact is TRP have been told the potential suitors have walked for now GBP are still in play TRP's prospects are sourced from the Namibe basin, where as GBP's are sourced from the Walvis basin, this area is more advanced, particularly GBP's Welwitschia Deep. It makes sense for those increasing their foot print to deal with GBP first Slide 4 "target 5&6 being negotiated", slide 7... target 6 on the balloon chart is identical to Welwitschia Deep numbers "Welwitschia Deep has been estimated to have Best Estimate unrisked gross prospective resources of 772 million barrels of oil with a probability of success (“chance of geologic discovery”) of 15%" | jimarilo
20/2/2020 00:17 | He's all fur coat and no knickers. Its typical Jeremy he's just having a bit of fun. If it works out even the better but he will survive no matter what. I'm invested fron sub 0.4p so just enjoying the ride. | ohisay
19/2/2020 23:24 | Clearly JA is struggling to get the deals done , other options available are limited , selling the company is probably the best way for 1p a share , and majority here will be happy .At the end of the day he will get back his £750,000 as the LTH have already been rogered once before! | jotoha2
19/2/2020 23:20 | Jimirilo,The fact GBP is still only 'in contact' after all this time clearly shows the major's have gone cold on them too otherwise there would be some 'real 'progress to rns. Tower's not a one trick pony, unlike GBP and Tower shareholders can look forward to more news soon as farm out and drill dates are announced on Thali, Cameroon alone, can be transformational for a company of Tower's size and there's still some potential with the other projects too in the longer term,so it's not to be compared with one trick pony companies, like GBP. | schachmeister
19/2/2020 20:47 | Here is the presentation from TRP's JA, regarding Cameroon. However 27.3 mins in he is asked about the major that made contact with him and low and behold they have gone cold. Which to me says TRP was a step too far. He also gives his idea of why. He say there are two lines of thought, one that Exxon prefer deepwater plays and like the large structures and Shell and Tullow like the shallower plays What utter tosh, does he not read anything ? lol. Shell/Kosmos and Total/Impact are in an Ultra deepwater blocks ;-) Does he think he knows more that the majors ? He does not mention the new concept and the Aptian Seal and the fact the Delta/Welwitschia well was drilled miles short of this seal. Which would be the target if drilled today. His view is opposite to that of GBP and the industry players in the region and particularly Azinam, who have majors as partners and the largest stake and 3d coverage in the region Quite a contrast in styles ...... JA only talked about Namibia, when asked a question and then spills the beans that talks have gone cold. Yet he put himself in front of a camera quick enough to tell the market when they were in talks ..... dear oh dear GBP in an rns 19 days ago confirmed further contacts were made, for the third consecutive quarter. No need for a webcasts ;-) | jimarilo
19/2/2020 15:56 | "Do you think he did damage to GKP?" I dont know. It was suggested he wanted to sell at 6 pounds or more around 2012 2013 which if it had come to pass would have saved the smaller shareholders 7 or 8 years of utter misery and lost opportunity. | surfer2
19/2/2020 13:56 | well its interesting that a poster better known for commenting on GKP is keeping one eye on TRP at these levels (: | surfer2
19/2/2020 13:47 | Shaikan...lolIn Asher's dreams. He's already goofed on that one. | lardner 23
19/2/2020 13:23 | what would I know | surfer2
19/2/2020 13:01 | Cruddy cheek! I’ve been in this share, longer than some of you guys have been alive...so cut out being clever clogs. | rayrac |
