13/12/2022 15:48 | DB, it is an interesting article, it also highlights how bigger companies than TXP have problems in getting things done in a reasonable timeframe. | swallowsflysouth
13/12/2022 14:18 | Ah yes never bet against the incompetence angle! On something else:- I wonder if this is important for TXP? I think probably it is. | davidblack
13/12/2022 10:43 | Just sheer inexperience and incompetence perhaps? Did they need another permit for side-track but forgot this obvious requirement and didn't want to admit it? Who knows? The "management" certainly aren't telling us enough? All IMHO, DYOR. | dunderheed
13/12/2022 10:04 | Sleveen agreed the placing price and timing was the poorest choice in the last 12 months so terrible. But the bigger issue is why didn’t they do it 9 months ago when Royston came out. Why waste 9 months of inaction if in the end you weren’t prepared to run the “Not till Cascadura” drill strategy. Something smells fishy. | davidblack
13/12/2022 07:45 | Oil rocketing, up 154 and in touching distance of $80 Brent | che7win
13/12/2022 07:42 | Without repeating the voluminous outrage on the discord site, a placing should've occurred when the share price was circa 175p and probably got it away at 130-140p. | sleveen
13/12/2022 04:50 | I do sympathise with your disapproval Herman, but (a) the market is appalling, (b) they have advisors who live from fundraising fees so would be advising them at what time they feel is best to maximise a raise and therefore their fees, and (c) it's always easy for us on the sidelines to pass judgement. | kiplig
12/12/2022 20:17 | 5x average volume tonight on the otc | sirmark
12/12/2022 20:13 | Over thinking it. They raised just because they can, because there was probably a quid pro quo for insiders. Just like any other O&G outfit on AIM. | joey1998
12/12/2022 19:54 | Maybe they were bluffing all along, and had planned to raise capital right after Coho came online. When the share price fell, they were taken off guard and decided to wait until there was serious progress on the CAS project. When progress was significantly slower than they had anticipated (surprise surprise), they had to do the unthinkable in order not to get too far behind on their drilling plans: A placing at an embarrassing level, only a few months ahead of their biggest milestone so far. The upside in TXP is astronomical, but let there be no doubt that the mismanagement of the company has destroyed very substantial shareholder value. | herman007
12/12/2022 13:50 | Reflecting on the placing now that my hot “Irritation If there was a honest reason, none has been given that explained their 180 degree turn on the policy “Drill once Cascadura costs are fully known and zero dilution.” Clearly they may have had a reason but given three opportunities to explain: the RNS, the Directors interview and lastly Proactive it’s clear they didn’t feel they owed that to shareholders. So “Poor faith” and corporate contempt for the owners of the business seem to be the lesson from the placing. | davidblack
