Chelverton Trust announced their final results last night, and had this to say about TST:

"Touchstar plc (AIM - 19.2% of portfolio)

Touchstar continued to develop its focused and streamlined business. It reported an improving position in its recent interim results and has built up strength in its balance sheet. In common with the companies above, it is to be hoped that 2021 will be a much better year and that 2022 will further show the strength and quality of the revitalised business."

No, people who invest seriously move on.There is nothing wrong with keeping a weather eye on a previous investment but taking the time and effort to post largely negative points is very dubious behaviour. If all you see are negatives then you simply console yourself that you have made the correct decision in selling.I look in here to see if I have missed anything of any great import regarding the company but I mean hard news that I can evaluate on my own.Anyone who can extract any meaning or information from a previous holder purposely trying to talk down a company they previously held shares in should perhaps revisit their own decision making process. In my experience this behaviour by a previous holder is to try and talk the share down for a repurchase at a lower level or more often to justify to themselves that they were right to sell the share.Anyway, things are moving along and I'm quite happy being invested in a software company supplying the logistics /transport industry and is more than holding its own in the middle of all that's going on.

Surely a serious and able investor is one who keeps an open mind and one who encourages others to put their points of view across, whether bull or bear. BT, you carry on as I'm happy to always listen to both sides of the coin whether you're in/out / or on the sidelines.

BT., you've sold....fair enough...we all make those sort of decisions on a regular basis. What I NEVER do is come back and try to talk the share down.I am no passing judgement on what you have said but I probably will come back to them at a later date.My point is that if you are a serious and able investor you should now have moved on ..........but we get your thoughts on why you sold.....why?The question is rhetorical .

Surely, we have reached a stage where Ian has to consider getting rid of Mark.

Isn't there a Warren Buffet quote about a company with a reputation for poor fundamentals meeting a management with a reputation for success?

Sorry but the business was flying pre covid and although frustrating, I think he had turned it around in all fairness.

I must confess that i have personally given up on them turning around the business. Ian had almost 5 years; yet struggling to create any shareholder value.
Frustrating at their inability to grow the top line in the last few years with different excuses evey year (General elections, brexit, restructuring, OnBoard, Covid). Let's say even if one or two of those was justified (Covid), it just feels they are hiding behind excuses.
How can having no debt at year end be considered a success when at HY stage, cash was approx £1.4million.

Yes pedantic, as when was ones success on the stock market judged by ones grammer or possible spelling mistake which often happens given most of us post using the predicted text method. However, having looked at Knights of old filing history, a T/O of over 40mill and a profit of some 7 mill. One has to assume contract is possibly of a decent size.

like the Baring/Bering sea ?

(did no one go to English classes ?!; except me & a few others)

---

wheel baring ? uh. no.
child baring ? uh, no.
Bering Sea. yes.

====

apologises if I'm being pedantic
but at times it seems like many posters don't know some basic stuff, such as the difference between "to" & "too"
(too many, an overflow of 'many'
or
'we go to the shops')

or between 'there's a fish' (= there is a fish) & 'the fish is theirs' (possession, belongs to)

its & it's

I agree as Evergreen was what I would put into the same category. However, the other order was with a much larger outfit thus is of more importance at this stage. The covid 19 has obviously a huge baring on our company and many others, but when things pick up and they will at some stage, the orders will flow as our offerings are top notch.

At this stage the "value" of the contract isn't always measured in simple terms.

If this sea food company is of a certain size then it can be used as a selling point to other similarly size companies.
I would imagine there are a very large number of say 5-10 van companies who are just struggling on with the systems they used where they had one, then two, then three vans........."time to move up guys!!"

Knights look like a decent size company so hopefully a decent value contract. Where as sea food contract probably not very much.
