I think that sums up pretty much the situation, written off as experiance, everbody has to pay to learn along the way.
One of my previous ones has been a dog for 35 years!!!! Another came back as a top performer, but i only got my money back, & sold too soon, so time will tell.

This is at least active & may not be too cash strapped yet, but watch MDZ for possible good developments & remember they have a large holding, which they will cash in when needed.

Our best hope could be a buy-out as the value of the niche & the articles could be better than the share price by some significant factor.

I'm down 75% om my investment here, fortunately it's only a small one (it is now anyway)! Yesterday's results didn't set the world alight, no price movement and only prompted the one posting from Haydock so it's not particulary much loved by ADVFN readers either. All in all one for the bottom drawer in the hope of either a long term gain or a buy-out although if this happens in the near term I can't see there being much of a premium to current price.

I keep looking at this stock, have done over the last few years, but they really haven't ever achieved anything. It's all very well saying that there is no market right now, but these guys have never managed to reach any sort of potential. Perhaps they need a buy out and improved management team to get it going?

Results & optomistic noises,nothing new.
Still a few quid in the bank, thats the main thing, note that they will not need anymore cash until they make an aquisition!!!!
Pigs might fly, but should buy Mediazest, which seems to have a bit of spark, & they have a written down 23%

The market does not exist at the moment for small aim stocks.
Put away & forget, figures could be o.k, but we none of us have any idea.
Cash should be on the up, & o.k.
Mediazest is now rising it's profile & spending money, may be what they need in the retail bloodbath to come?
Tuck the shares away & forget is the best advise, put it down to experiance & wait for the market to turn.
Nobody even Buffett, wins them all, but they do come back & change their spots, sometimes with amazing results.

LOL a £562.50 sell wipes 8.8% off the value. Still holding from about 4 times the current price wondering if we'll even achieve lift-off!

www.daildooh.co.uk article dated 5th Feb 2008

HMV have (we think quite correctly) credited the digital portions of their store re-fits with much of their business turnaround and excitement from City investors. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a High Street CD, DVD retailer needs to completely re-position its offering in order to meet the challenges set by the online merchants.

We don't think that HMV and their compatriots on the high street actually go far enough - comfortable seating, knowledgeable store staff, free Wi-Fi, perhaps the odd water cooler or coffee machine might get us in, keep us in and encourage us to buy.

The 9 screen seamless plasma wall front of house shown above is the work of MediaZest who are also we understand working on the HMV store in High Wycombe at this moment.

Retail Week reported in detail last week in an article entitled "Following market-bucking Christmas trading, entertainment retailer HMV is to roll out its next-generation store format".

In that article HMV chief executive Simon Fox was quoted as saying "Having traded our trial stores through Christmas and completed customer research, we are working through our plans for roll-out."

Encouragingly for our industry he emphatically pointed out that his new store model had worked best at the original 8,000 sq ft pilot at Merry Hill, near Dudley and "Here, we have seen very strong like-for-like uplifts compared with the rest of the chain, particularly in product areas we are targeting for higher growth such as games, technology and kids DVDs,".

We believe that the interactive hub, where customers can use PCs and kiosks for entertainment, social networking, online ordering and downloading, also tested very well, as did the gaming zones.

Excitingly - ALL new store openings in 2008 will adopt the next-generation format.

We don't think that MediaZest got enough credit for the work that they did here. This is a real boost to the retail signage industry - a high profile, well known CEO crediting the industry with a retail sales uplift. We should shout this from the roof tops!!!

Just to remind myself how tightly this is held, keep my spirits up.

I have checked out the verticles , above & there is lots of life.
A typical dumped Aim share, hopefully about to decalre at last a profit about March.
The people at Schroders, must do the same every investment meeting!!!

This business has grown, desite it's many problems in the past & now awaits a good clean health report, On the web page it all looks very healthy as does Mediazest in which they still have over 20%.

Where the action is:

Unconscious - 20 Jan'08 - 17:26 - 184 of 188

Excellent news last week about the £700,000 order to supply and install audio-visual equipment to a London University. The share price moved up nicely on low volume, which may have something to do with the fact that around 55% of the 22.8 million shares in issue are in the hands of major shareholders, so not much of a free float.
This company has a lot of positives going for it at the moment. They have implemented a number of measures to reduce costs, mainly in the areas of salary and administration and at the same time recruited more chargeable engineering staff, resulting in a net saving in salaries and employment overheads. The full effect of these changes were expected to be felt during the second half of 2007.
They also appear to be getting their act together and putting a lot more effort into promoting themselves, including taking out full page adverts in Design Week, Marketing Magazine, Marketing Week, and currently have banner advertising on Dailydooh.com. They have also carried out some high profile digital signage marketing at a number of retailers including C&A, Debenhams, Diesel at Boots, HMV and Vodafone.
The second half of 2007 began with the group's strongest ever quarter, they have a good order book going forward with a number of well known blue-chip clients and as the Christmas period approached, orders from its retail clients had increased.
It was also very encouraging to see Chief Executive Geoffrey Robertson buying 60,000 shares in October, raising his stake to 115,000 or 0.5% of the issued share capital.
I hold shares in Mediazest and feel very positive about its future prospects. With all the hard work they are putting in to reducing overheads and promoting themselves, IMO the next set of results should be very encouraging and prompt a substantial rise in the share price, particularly as there is a relatively small free float. In the mean time, any further RNS announcements relating to orders should move the price up nicely. They were ahead 18% at one point last week, so it just shows what one order announcement can do!
DYOR.

Hey looking back i almost have my own bb!!!
Anybody out there?

Just had a play on the web-site.
YES they have achieved what they set out to achieve, this now looks a really interesting company.
More success financially, will lead to a company well worth the risk.
This is far & away a better prospect than it was 2 years ago.
The next step will be to cash in the Mediazest holding when they can, although that company also has growth prospects.
This is now an interesting tiddler for another day.

Forget the old baggage if we can, it's been a long haul, but it forward from here.
If the £2m is as well spent they will grow quickly.
At last glass half -full, roll on the next 5 years, thats what it might take in todays markets.

Waken up there at the back!!!!

The news is out, 2 new directors strengthens the board, so Vincent will have a lot more people to answer to.
Also the cash is in £2, looked a poor deal a month ago , but now looks like an act of genius.
In todays climate cash in the bank,is king. The money was raised at the right moment, they would have to tramp the streets to get thet kind of cash today & think of the rate!
Now they reveal the business plan , which they conveniently forgot to tell us before!!! They have achieved most of it as far as we are aware, so thats a success & it was the right plan to follow.
Plaudits to management for once, a better two years.

Where do they go from here?
Well the original RNS for the use of the money explains all,& claims that the investment will produce early improvements, on sales.
In todays climate?
Energy & healthcare may be the right two areas,so will wait & see.

Where is the share rise then & all the excitement?
{Thankful all the sellers have gone years ago, is all I can say}

Not a tiddlers market, but they can still grow & have done the right thing.

Whilst revealing the strength of the hand tou had, & realisising much needed cash, it's spent already for an upgrade , they may not have been able to afford.
However it's s firesale, the price is £950.000 below book value.
On the other hand Touch Local may be yesterdays story in a big way & a spent force.
Perhaps not a bad days work after all.
MDZ looks the stronger brand, & they still have a 25% holding there.
Based on the strngth of the orders in at the end of the last quarter, it's a better year.

That was what all the buying was about then!!!

ross,

do u always looking with rose tinted glasses or is it probably that you are holding these which makes look at these in this way.

Not about confidence, but desperate for cash!
it was sell their holdings or dilute TOU even more, and holders
will have been screwed..coz institutions will have asked for 50% less
to fund them and that is if they even think TOU is worth it for them.
