Some big trades going through but the price so far is holding steady. Hopefully the shares from the sellers are being transferred to sticky hands. So far this rise is very encouraging and the chart looks magnificent!

>>machinest A profit is a profit. There is no problem with being a trader and trying to play the margin. We have all done it at times, but the risk is you stand to miss out on the bigger gains that can come unexpectedly if you take all your chips off the table. This has so much further to run IMO. A buy and hold position works best in situations like this.Talking of which, Deltrotter hasn't been here for a while.

Sorry my post sounded that way, it was not meant to. After a few years on ADVFN I thought I would start to join in a few threads, obviously it was a bad idea so will keep out of the way now.

The thing about self congratulation is one has a captive audience!

Thanks so much for that self congratulatory information. It's good to get the loose holders and traders out and maintain a relatively good level. I strongly suspect the buyers will come in before it reaches the 30p level but we will see!

The question now is at what level the buyers come back in after the early morning exuberance. I am watching like a hawk and my finger is poised above the buy button?

Savage Probably right Wendy has hinted contracts may change from how they were awarded, possibly more emphasis on service rather than cost. There was an indication that contracts could actually be awarded on 10 year contracts. Time will tell. Still conscious of the deferred VAT though so not expecting too much from full year results.

graham yes fair point indeed, but at the moment we are seeing much shorter extensions. my own view is that the PPE fiasco, where the government has given billions to its cronies, is going to lead to a greater scrutiny of all public contracts, when parliament returns. However it should not impact TLY unduly as it is clear that 1) they met contract conditions previously 2) therefore have a track record of delivery and improvement....by investing in the ratings, they have tried to create a barrier to entry as well as gain a larger footprint... peak insourcing demand will be this year, with a smoother, or shallower, demand gradient over the next 5 years. Putting all the euphoria of the share price to one side, this should be a between 5% and 10% net margin business (the only real cost is people), so TLY should be making between £6M and £13M or so. Put a 10X multiple on that.....and that is what a PE company will be running the slide rule over....perhaps a US entrant post brexit...

bw. 12 month contracts are due to COVID normal contracts for TLY are 5+2. Hopefully they will revert back to these once COVID is beaten. Gives them a little more security to invest in the business.
