Cancelled operations now up to 3 million that’s an increase of 1 million from last month.

Figures published on Tuesday show there were 3,019 cancelled operations in March 2020, 15% of the total number in the NHS Scotland system.

As longshanks

How many institutional investors have been buying the likes of NCYT recently. Fact is they and others like them have benefited from Covid 19 and have no long term prospects of paying a healthy dividend whilst TLY are a growing business and have long term ambitions. I’ll say it again it’s not what we say on these boards but how companies perform that matters.

Money is coming into TLY every day and I’m sure they are much better at it than Buywell or us for that matter.

I doubt Victoria Stevens or Chris Mills is listening to the likes of Buywell when making their decisions. The man who likes to say no can go bury his head for all I care.

Buywell is completely polluting this thread like he does whenever he starts positing. Now I could start a new thread as a paid member and then ban him from the thread.

Thoughts?

In connection with the 5yr plan in the last post, AI affective computing , and robotic technology plus Telemedicine , mHealth, Telehealth and more are going to be here much sooner as a result of Covid-19 pressures for a NHS rebuild for the 21st Century.

'Potential of AI in the NHS

AI could support the delivery of the NHS’s Five Year Forward View, which aims to narrow three gaps in health provision. AI could help address the health and wellbeing gap by predicting which individuals or groups of individuals are at risk of illness and allow the NHS to target treatment more effectively towards them.

The reduction of the care and quality gap could be supported by AI tools as they can give all health professionals and patients access to cutting edge diagnostics and treatment tailored to individual need. AI could help address the efficiency and funding gap by automating tasks, triaging patients to the most appropriate services and allowing them to self-care.

3.3.1 Right intervention at the right time

' One of these applications identifies where trauma patients – depending on the severity of the injury – should be treated on arrival to hospital with greater accuracy than out of hospital trauma teams.
The model uses specific pieces of data including demographics, type of trauma, pre-hospital fluid, medications, vital signs, and disposition.
Ensuring trauma patients are treated in the right location means that there is an efficient use of resources and delivery of appropriate care.'

'3.3.2 Freeing-up administrative time through automation

AI promises to reduce the burden of administrative work in many sectors and
healthcare is no exception to this rule.

Interviewees for this paper explained that intelligent virtual assistants, such as Amelia,100 could also support medical staff by placing individuals on pathways, book appointments, automatically compose letters, and send patients reminders.

In addition, the better scheduling enabled by AI could help address current inefficiencies.
It was recently found that 750 additional routine operations a day could be carried out if schedules were better organised.'

Don’t think we will be seeing any new acquisitions until the share price is over 50p. Bob was given cash to do one more after Vocare which turned out to be a gem in Greenbrook.

The only possible reason for a fund raising would be another acquisition and I can't believe that will happen in the short term. They certainly don't need working capital; they wouldn't be paying dividends if that was the case!

What did you mean when you said liontrust holding was wrong.

grahamwales

Just one other thought. Liontrust bought in on the last placing, the fact that they are adding along with a new investor suggests there are not going to be any placings any time soon.
