The three partners announced last March want to give birth to a "major player in polyethylene", including taking advantage of low prices of shale gas. The company, named Bayport Polymers, will be 50% owned by Total and 50% owned by Novealis, a joint venture between Borealis and Nova Chemicals. It will bring together several assets including Total's polyethylene production facility in Bayport, Texas, with an annual capacity of 400,000 tonnes, a steam cracker with a capacity of one million tonnes still under construction and commissioned planned for 2020 in Port Arthur (Texas), as well as a new polyethylene production unit at the Bayport site, equipped with Borstar's Borstar technology, for an annual production of 625,000 tonnes of polyethylene. The completion of this last production unit is still subject to certain authorizations, specified the three groups. -Julien Marion, Agefi-Dow Jones; +33 (0) 1 41 27 47 94; jmarion@agefi.fr ed: VLV Agefi-Dow Jones The financial newswire (END) Dow Jones Newswires May 24, 2018 01:06 ET (05:06 GMT) | ariane

Enough to help oil stocks to find levels forgotten for several years. The cap of 60 euros for Total touched in 2007 is no longer unthinkable by the end of 2018. The most voluntarist will go through the call 9368S which aims precisely a price of 60 euros for a deadline in late December. | la forge
