A further thought on the award.

I remember around 10 years ago all those "lucky" employees were awarded shares in tech companies - sometimes in lieu of salary. When the company went bust and the shares were deemed worthless staff still had to pay payroll taxes to the revenue on the worth of the shares at the time of award even though they never received any payment in cash.
Hope these are structured better than those were for the staffs sake - should TRK fail.

Better check up on the exact meaning of "right to receive" folk.

The 4.8 is for the Directors alone Billybull on iiiii estimates a 6% dilution in all - 30m shares.

On the bright side they only get 1/2 if the share price does not reach 15p.

Looks to me like 4.8 million shares in total Bodgit, but there would have been up to double that number if the share price was 20p or more. That's how I read it. Usual rewards for failure which has been the long held tradition with this company. Although I'm amazed at the number of shares held by Mr Cross, perhaps he is a 'believer'. Must be all those variable turbo drives we are going to sell to Ford, yup that must be it!

Ref the RNS today. Can anyone here please explain to me what total amount of "... the right to receive or acquire Ordinary Shares" is being gifted and how many are having to be paid for? In addition, how many shares are being gifted to all employees to make up the 50% of salary?? TIA and good luck all.

Mitsubishi shocked its customers in April when it announced it had manipulated fuel economy tests affecting hundreds of thousands of vehicles in Japan. The mileage scandal later spread to include more models, and the company admitted the flawed testing goes back a quarter century.

VW’s management are expected to face tough questions at the annual meeting on Wednesday. Investor groups are urging shareholders to reject a vote of confidence in management. Asset manager Hermes is calling for a special audit to investigate whether directors properly scrutinised executives’ actions.

Sad to see old faces disappear like that. I had my run-ins with Richerd, but never thought he was a bad guy, just seriously misguided (and misled). Did anybody ever find out what happened to Rebecca Joyce? another one who falls in the same category. And Maurice Martin - is he still alive?

I did wonder about 3p's sudden disappearance last year, had a quick scout round internet and turned up someone keen on his allotment as a likely candidate. Suspect he is another who has passed on before seeing any return on his TRK investment, suspect a few more of us to go yet. There is a "Judith Parsons" who goes by 3parsnips, not sure if "he" might be a "she".

And here's another one (I'm beginning to feel like 3p - what happened to him - did he just give up?). Of no relevance to trk - just of general interest - amazing to see one of these wonder engines actually working...

Some interesting background reading - electrification moving faster than one might think. Don't ask me where all the electricity's going to come from - I have no idea. But I guess that's a second-order problem ;¬)

IMO

I think the IVT is pretty much proven to be a duffer now isn't it? Interesting technology and all that, but no chance of making it into a production vehicle of any type

I hope to be proved wrong

KERS seems to be at the stage that IVT was some years back - attracting interest / funding for R&D and being bigged up by TRK

Whether it makes it through R&D and into volume production remains to be seen. It is only at that point (if it ever comes) that there is any prospect of our company giving us any money.

It might not be a big deal, but it certainly can't do any harm to have a major company investigating kers. At least the BoD did deliver on the talk on this one, which in itself is a step in the right direction.

I think you guys are losing track of the real purpose of the company - to keep engineers and managers in interesting and well-paid jobs. Looked at in that light, this announcement is a useful step forward and should be appreciated as such.

Obviously, but they were never going to go from where they were a few months ago to magically clocking up sales today

No it isn't.

We have had years of development work.

We need SALES not MORE development work.

You would think after all these years Torotrak would have something that they could actually sell.

Signed at last. Interesting to see if 'Mr Market' even notices. Good luck all.

Edit: I wonder what the RNS phrase " fully funded programme " actually means.

From mid May Trading Statement "The Group has been awarded, and will be signing shortly, a contract for a fully funded project in collaboration with one of the largest global manufacturers of off-highway construction and mining equipment"

One TPSA member foolishly stated that it could be signed on the day of the TPSA meeting with TRK.

The minister replying to the Bus grant farce stated that he expected the announcement "Shortly".

Definition of "shortly" seems in these times to include "several months".

Will nothing ever change in TRKland

Looks like no good news this week then - and the share price takes a further tumble on relatively low volume selling. Good weekend to all.

Looks like the modest rally in the share price following the recent V-Charge test results has evaporated. Hey ho. Good news next week would be welcome. Good weekend to all.
