Show me it isn't!.Your a complete idiot morecrud. DDPS Why are you following me where I post elsewhere?, are you a stalker as well as a ramping troll?

cudmore - 09 Nov 2016 - 21:52 - 3970 of 4047 - 0Next week will be a vital decider on how sales fair for this quarter with them hoping to achieve £6.6m of sales over the week and break last years record. The company is doing well from what I've heard from inside the company but unfortunately outside facts like Brexit hit them, like many other companies.HAVE THEY?......MISSED THAT RNS TOO

DD

Other than saying I thought these shares are worth £2 (I still do long term) please confirm what comments I've posted that are incorrect? If you can be bothered you'll find my comments were posted prior to any confirmed announcements and everything was spot on. It's not 'what' you know but 'who' you know.

Can't recall you actually stating anything around performance before it actually came out???

wadAs GreenRichard posted, they were in the pre close on the 5th.Do check first thing all results against expectations to see if it's worth putting a SB on. In TPT's case it wasn't as all numbers were as expected. Our resident ramper, morecrud, on the other hand, clearly didn't have a clue what to expect so just posted his normal diatribe first thing before open - "profits up and dividends up".....wow what insight from someone who constantly claims to have insider knowledge.GLDD

Re IC :it depends on your time frame.

I have been a holder since 1997 , when share price was in low teens pence per share.

The current dividend yield on that historical price is around 30 %

I can't complain really but then I'm not a trader.

Looks like the kiss of death from IC again - the share price has fallen steadily since their view!

IC had a positive view too:-

Shares in Topps Tiles (TPT) enjoyed a 3 per cent bounce this morning after full-year results met analysts’ expectations. Adjusted pre-tax profits grew 7.8 per cent cent on like-for-like sales growth of 4.2 per cent. Net debt is down, whilst the dividend has leapt nearly 17 per cent to 3.5p for the year. Current year like-for-like sales growth has slowed, but chief executive Matthew Williams is confident a weaker market will provide more market share opportunities in the long-term. We remain buyers.

I was thinking the same, good management and the reason they gave for the temporary decline in footfall at the last update was in my opinion true. Margin slightly up and they anticipate being able to maintain it despite fx. Sounds as if the new products introduced to fill the lower profit wooden flooring space are going well so all in all happy with that.

A very good set of results, this is a very well run business IMHO.

I think market sentiment at the moment is to steer clear of shares ( i.e.retailers in general) vulnerable to decline in consumer confidence.

it's difficult to fight market sentiment.

I remain a long term holder.

Good set of results all things considered. This part - positive margin outlook - was key for me: The longer term outlook for gross margin remains positive, however, given the recent devaluation of sterling and the subsequent impact on our overseas sourcing, our short term focus is to offset these impacts and deliver a broadly stable gross margin in the year ahead.'
