04/6/2004 15:19 | What kind of buy is that by the MMs only 10.000 | negus1
04/6/2004 15:16 | Starting to tick up already on low volume, the MMs must of got wind of the results. | ibuyland
04/6/2004 15:13 | May see buying at the end of the day | negus1
03/6/2004 23:00 | Looking good for Monday. I may not have access to a computer during trading hours tomorrow, so I may be in the dark. Today when I looked the volume was very small. Joe Public will wake up to TTH again next Monday. I can see 10p per share. | guru11
03/6/2004 22:00 | Last year's interim performance: CHAIRMAN'S STATEMENT Introduction On behalf of the board I am pleased to present the interim statement for 26 weeks ending 28th September 2003. Results I am pleased to report a significant improvement in profitability in the six months ended 28 September 2003. The Group made a pre tax profit of £530,208 (2002: £267,690) which represents an improvement of 93 per cent. This was achieved on turnover of £5,275,713 (2002: £3,689,776). Very impressive stuff. As far as we know, TTH will have continued this strong performance + the added profits from the newly acquired halls. We could be in for a pleasant surprise on results day! | aerotus
03/6/2004 17:35 | Last day Friday to get in before the results! I can't wait for monday!! | aerotus
02/6/2004 22:04 | The offer price today has risen from 8.37 to 8.5p which is a good sign, even though a bit on the slow side. | guru11
02/6/2004 13:29 | A few more buys and we may see a rise in price | negus1
02/6/2004 12:00 | I tried to buy another 250,000 with an 8.2p limit this morning (a bit hopeful I know), but couldn't get the stock. At least we know that none of the mm are sitting on too much. | goliard
01/6/2004 20:54 | Could make ideal match in a few years for TTH. The two companies cover different regions and consolidation is happening at the moment in this industry. Won't happen in the short term but one to watch. Also worth noting how aggresive the management of Carlton turn out to be. In the meantime this sector should receive more coverage, which would be no bad thing. | cw2000
01/6/2004 19:18 | CARLTON CLUBS TO SEEK AIM LISTING 2004-05-24 24th May 2004... Scottish-based Carlton Clubs, the privately owned bingo group which is one of the largest private operators in the UK, has announced its intention to undertake a flotation on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange to raise funds to support its growth strategy. ------------------- Carlton clubs - 4th biggest bingo operator. Same growth strategy as TTH. Possible merger could be on the cards in the not too distant future!? | aerotus
01/6/2004 18:20 | Also, I really doubt that profits will come in X2 estimated earnings. The RNS stated "slightly above expectations". ie: approx 5-15%. Anything higher than that and they would have stated "MATERIALLY above expectations". However, I would be very happy to be wrong on this. | aerotus
01/6/2004 18:04 | goliard - How would little old TTH manage a RTO of Mecca or Gala? They are many times larger and TTH should and probably are concentrating on consolidating their bingo halls. It seems far fetched to predict an RTO unless you have heard some kind of chinese whisper. | aerotus
01/6/2004 14:51 | goliard - I tend to agree with you. Build up a business that does well, so well that others notice the trend, and then step in and add it on to theirs. The pe ratio is fairly forward looking so the results need to be good to lower this figure, thats my only reservation. It is like MXC, appears to have good prospects with the Cisco guy aboard, but the pe ratio is around 49. One asks how much further can it go. Although in saying that we could see 10p for TTH next week. TTH is probably still not too widely followed, so with a newspaper write up, and there should be at least a line on it next week, who knows. | guru11
01/6/2004 12:46 | Truckertee, old news and I think out of date given recent business strength. | goliard
01/6/2004 12:41 | Truckertee - thanks for that. How much of the news is built in to the share price? When it jump before this was probably because it was unexpected, now this is not the case, but the Company is still going forward, in virtually a neich business. | guru11
01/6/2004 12:40 | I think that TTH have been setting themselves up to be bought out by a larger rival, or alternativley to do an RTO of one of the bigger players. The question is when? I have heard that it will be worth watching the results for any info on the above. Obviously if they are at a 'done deal' stage they will suspend the shares in an RTO, but as I have said, I may be months premature on that. I do believe it will happen this year though and strong results will make them more of a target. If the results are good I wouldn't sell too quickly. I'm not claiming to have inside info or anything like that, but if you use a good broker you should ask around. | goliard
01/6/2004 12:22 | goliard - can you explain why you think that there will be a suspension please. The only reason why I can think of is if the share price rockets after results, due to massive buying which would affect the share price to the ninth degree. I am interested in your comments on above. | guru11
01/6/2004 11:52 | Results are sometime next week but the day is not confirmed. I've been buying for a while and just can't justify buying any more. Any moves this week should be irrelevant when we see the rns and I wouldn't be surprised if there is a suspension pending further clarification, but I may be a bit premature on that one. | goliard
01/6/2004 11:23 | normally up to results the share price rises and then falls back on the announcement of results, here though with TTH I can't help feeling that the trend will not be adhered to. As goliard has said and I agree with him if one waits until results to buy then you will be paying more for the stock. Bingo is like a drug to some people - once they play they are hooked. Everyone has to have a hobby for a reason for living and looking forward to something. I have heard of a lady doing some work to earn money just to play bingo. Bingo is an art - have you seen these ladies with up to 6 cards in front of them concentrating to win? No wonder why they are doing well. The question is are we holding enough now? Online buy limit 50k sell limit 100k. Results I believe someone said was on the 7th, next Monday. Will there be something in the press? | guru11
01/6/2004 10:58 | Looking for over 9p for the bid price in the next few days | negus1
01/6/2004 10:57 | Only a week until results are out. Anyone looking at this thread only has to make one choice. Do you want to join us in the gamble on the results, or wait until they're out? I think it will be too late to get the real benefit if you wait, but the price now is still a steal. | goliard |
