Since they are struggling to pay the $16.5m so bad (as predicted from the start over here) why bother?

greenfield owns 10% allready and we have a 10year revolving lease as per rns 4621s dated 16th nov 2021 :-

Alongside the acquisition of the initial 10% of the Membership Interests, a newly incorporated subsidiary of Greenfield has been granted a lease over approximately 320 acres of the 760 acre site owned by TSHII (the "Lease Area"), for a nominal consideration and annual rental of US$320, together with a 12% of net sales royalty per barrel of conventional oil, gas or sulphur produced and removed from the Lease Area.

so we are basically sitting tennants on half of the land which was a shrewd move by tomco at the time.

TSHII will be well aware what’s happening with the funding negotiations for Greenfield, and as a result will be happy to extend again, by whatever duration required.

Why was the renegotiated extension not sorted by the end of February? I’d say it’s because Tomco genuinely thought that the funding would be concluded by the end of February but legal bureaucracy has impacted this. They thought that they wouldn’t have to extend past the end of February, hence renegotiating with TSHII late on in February, the legal process that must be followed around that, pushing into March.

If they weren't going to extend they would have said so on the 28th and we would have been told, the nomad would see to that. Like rmart said they probably needed some assurances that this time we would have a means to an end. Funding!Did somebody say done deal by Easter....

in my opinion the seller will only have agreed to another extention if they see proof of funds. So, if we see an extention then to me a deal is done. If we dont then changes need to be made and quick.

I am on the side the extention has been agreed and will be announced soon.

Ducky,Your question got lost amongst my highbrow conversation with Ace. Apologies. As we know this current extension, should it be confirmed (i believe it will), has taken further negotiations. Clearly the owner is getting fed up! Who can blame them. Therefore I don't like the thought of going back to them again, and nor will John. So if it is extended to end March then John has about a week or two to call an EGM to approve the funds for month end. I think that has spurred the buying, hopefully any news of an extension being granted will be accompanied by some meat!! If not then the EGM time bomb is once again ticking.
