So what about that then? Stephen Byle 10% owner of Petroteq. He must be confident of the process.

Anyone who thinks this board can get feisty at times should have a look at the RMS one. I only popped in to say hi to rmart and was told to F off before i'd even taken my coat off. No wonder rmart is so grumpy at times.

The sample should be sent to Quadrise next week who have stated it will take 2 to 3 weeks to confirm proof of concept so we should have news on this front by the end of the month.

Hi my purchase was a while back so on a 30% loss at this time, but it is looking rather interesting at this time.
My plan is to get out of oils with any profit.
With the exception of TOM as it has different products in the pipe line so to speak.

if the large excavation can be sealed it would make a great lake, for a place that has little water

On a more serious note. do sand mines fill the big hole after. because if so it must make another hole some-ware

We could export the UK rubbish that will fill the hole in no time

I think anybody with any sense will see it as a the bonus it could be. Goulding doesn't normally fall into that category! :-)

I agree Jay. There will be some middle ground with some byproduct sold to help keep the lights on the biscuit tin full but the real revenue stream needs to stay focussed on the oil.

There is the problem of you're suddenly creating a bigger hole if you sell the sand as well ... So there must be re instatement / environmental costs / issues

I think the point being that until recently the understanding was 100% of this byproduct would be returned to the mining site with zero commercial value.

Goulding on the other thread has added the first of the key conditions of the value of sand - $70 locally. So here is the relevant part of the post:

"Frac sands can sell upto $70 per ton locally. I barrel of oil produces 1.7 tonnes of sand. Do the maths - the above news was a game changer. If oil prices hang around at these levels the sand (as a by product) becomes more valuable as a business. Add the oil and the sand per barrel sale = $100+. Quite extraordinary really"

At 10000 barrels per day, that is 17,000 Tonnes of sand per day. A standard UK tipper truck load will be about 17 Tonnes ergo 1000 trucks per day. Goulding now needs to establish where the local demand is for 1000 trucks of sand a day. It requires loading/unloading a truck every 1.4 minutes. How much sand does a fracking site require (I thought that they recirculated the sand and liquids).

It probably will have value, but at what scale.

Quite extraordinary really.

Thanks ducky, but I am only negative about one thing, Regarding TOM. The CEO And lack of updates. What are the odds of an update regarding the Petroteq press release?
