FG, I have a reputation for not suffering fools lightly going back to the 1970's.
Donk and I have a history going back a year or two ..... him trying to get me to believe he is right, and me trying to get him to think logically. It started with him telling me to think laterally and I'm a mathematician. He gets everything wrong!

I've have been at my wit's end for a long time , he is not half way there yet, so thick (skinned), but he'll get there one day once funding comes in. And then I'll give him some empathy for being a half-wit.

One day he'll realise I play with words too - if he ever gets a sense of humour.

You can see he never uses logic to disprove my beliefs - and when I talk about my private life he tells me to talk TLOU. He's cracked! All the king's horses and all the king's men cannot fix him!

I have no problems with you from my side - it was nice having someone sensible to talk to on here - Donk has frightened most of them away with his rudeness. He is filtered by most! Just count the ticks on his posts!

This was posted yesterday on LSE , not by me, it was advice to me in fact .... one of many who are familiar with his multiple guises.

"Give up on ADVFN a terrible site for miss information and not policed by the owners."

LSE need you to prove your identity and are very vigilant about what is posted, if you aren't on there under a different name. I guess you read it anyway because neither site is perfect on all fronts.

Good luck with your TLOU investment, I think you're on a winner, but what do I know?
Life is just a box of chocolates! and, btw I am thinking of running for Prime Minister one day :O) Bloody stupid film, Tom Hanks worst work!

Just remembered an equally bad film , Donk co-starred in it, Cast Away , Donk played Wilson! And had the same affect on Tom as he does on me? It explains why he talks Balls all the time perhaps!

1. If Govt needed demonstration of commercial gas flows, then why invite Tlou and Sekaname to tender to the RFP?

2. If demonstration of commercial gas flows was a Govt requirement of the RFP, then Tony would have said this very clearly and very explicitly long before now.

3. If demonstration of commercial gas flows was a Govt requirement, then the Minister of Minerals would have said so in his recent Supply Speech.

The world’s thickest membrane thinks otherwise....

What I think Brad / Nuga /Cherry is that you have multiple persona, none of them display any semblance of rational thought or thinking. I think you are lost in your own world dreaming and role playing endless drivel. You have proven over these past months that you have got pretty much zero clue as to on the ground reality in Botswana.
You are an idiot - plain and simple !!

A very fine and balanced post Donks.

Is Wacky Gabakke and Colm Clueless still signing on for big pay cheques in order to achieve precisely nothing?

Does Gilby still claim that "flow tests do not matter" as he stated 3 years ago?

How long before this company goes bust and investors holdings are valued at precisely nothing?

Your guess is better than mine.

Farewell Donks. You have played a blinder utilising nothing more than the facts and the truth.

Me? I am 5 days into self-isolating. Very mild symptoms thus bored and thought I'd just check in here for the last time.

Life is too short to be posting on these Boards.

Dontcha think - Donks?

FG, solar will need the distribution lines to Serowe so expenditure for the panels and and poles and wires from scratch OR complete the generation of CBM power and do the poles and wires for both and then sell some electricity to help pay for the panels and site preparation, if significant, at a later date?

1. A straight race with Sekaname from a level start (they look committed to solar and wind renewables, understandably with 93Mw to fulfill).
2. We go for CBM (Eric's the way to go) with a head start measured in years possibly, and we are in a 5f sprint whilst they are in a 4m chase!

The 5f sprint will help pay for solar , and is odds on in my book!
Your very labour intensive solar might be more disrupted by the aftermath of the virus, than the number of engineering specialists needed to prepare the generator?

Not to mention BDC sound all set to finance CBM once the PPA is signed?

Tony will determine the best way forward , but as someone said solar sounds like an outsourcing project - his experience will be wasted unless we do both in parallel - and run the risk of running out of funds if there is a major problem with the distribution lines to the grid.

I cannot remember if $30m includes any solar energy - if so we might take the risk but it is against the odds imho.

I think I'll stick with my guess, we see solar deal much sooner than anyone imagines possibly even linked to financing.

FG, as to solar, TG wants this business to be self financing so CBM power will finance solar somewhere down the track.

We are onthe first rung of the ladder i.e. TLOU have lowered the ascent to 2MW (from the full PPA of 10Mw) but that first rung is solid gold!

Once we have a connection to the grid this company will be operational, derisked, secure! Financing expansion from 2 to 10 to lord knows where ultimately, with solar arriving at some point along the way.
Expansion will be so familiar they'll perfect the process.
Each expansion with provide more expensive electricity than the previous price if the pundits are right and the prices increase with time (for the sub-continent of Africa not just Botswana).
Mathematically it all makes sense.

Imagine how much dewatering and funding would have been required now, in this climate, if TG had requested 100Mw in the RFP .... the guy is a genius. And judging by the recent podcast, a very happy genius .... and I am happy to be in such a person's 'company'.

Back to LSE where I belong. Good luck here .... it needs a lot of patience to ignore posts about the formative years because this project only got started less than 12 months ago with production wells #3 #4 and #5. And at Selemo flares and power were already established! Hearing glowing references about Sekaname and Kalahari Energy who haven't produced any CBM since getting a contract for 180Mw over 8 years ago is too much to endure.

That agreement is what stood between us and a full PPA for the past 2 years!
Botswana wanted proof that gas would flow at adequate rates for the preferred bidders!

After 8 years it is no wonder! They know TG has done it with Arrow and Sunshine , so keeping Sekaname in the frame was the doubt? What changed that they'd suddenly produce the goods 9 years on? And in quantities 40 times TLOU's target???? The RFP was extended to give Sekaname more time to prepare theirs! They have cost TLOU dear! Imho if Botswana had given us sole preferred bidder status we'd be in production already!

FG, the escrow for restrictive securities forbids whoever ends up with 10M shares from selling them within 24 months of receiving them.
They could be intended for anyone , BDC as part of the funding, TG's ASX group of trusted investors who provided some cash a while back , bonuses for staff , or a gift to posters on here who have shafted him to best of their inability for years :O)

I favour the last option .... if those idiots are right they'll be worth less than 1p in 24 months! They are wrong!

I'll remind you of Colm's November podcast ....

From 6 minutes 20 seconds Colm talks about finance with the BDC.

the earlier 6 minutes describe dewatering and for a finance director it is pretty good, if you have 10 minutes to refresh your memory of it. With the imminent PPA likely, it is even more upbeat now than in 2019 , imho.

I think you can trust the funds to complete up to 2Mw into the grid is sorted for a mere $10M , but don't rule out funding of $30M for 10MW being agreed.

450M up to 460M shares is not much of a dilution given the problems of the globe currently?

FG you are a breathe of fresh air to this board.

And where are they getting the $$$ to advance the solar component ? And then they need to evacuate that power to the grid....

So I don’t get your point re solar - care to explain ?

Agreed regarding timing of finance announcements. We will need the solar component to be advanced first or at the very least in conjunction with. Or we sit and wait some more for the dewatering to continue.

Which would defeat the purpose of the temp ppa.

Eskom source and dependability is nothing new here - what is is that Eskom’s financial solvency has moved it into ICU. Can you imagine the outcry in UK or rich part of Europe if there was sustained load shedding? Yet load shedding has been part of Southern Africa for years and years. They put up with the situation in part because the cost of power there is heavily subsidised by Govt and in part because black townships under ANC control simply don’t bother paying.
Go to Tlou listing documents on ASX - Expensive power and dirty diesel were there in large capitals as the compelling reason to invest in Tlou ! Nothing much has changed about the compellingness of the story over the years. What we are hoping for is that now, finally after years of mismanagement at Eskom that now is the time for CBM to be allowed to contribute to the energy solutions.
Yet clearly there are either objections or skepticism on part of Authorities, otherwise CBM would have been introduced long before now.
Exploring reasons behind that skepticism would maybe be an interesting discussion...
