Interesting today. I'd noticed the uptick on the mid-afternoon buy 14k @ 4.90p.
I ran a few online dummy buys and found that I couldn't get a quote for more than 15k @ 6p, or a lesser amount of 10k @ 5.25p.

To me that's a clear indication of stock being in short supply, even though placing a limit or "at best" order for a higher amount may well have been filled at whatevee price had to be paid.

Level 2 is showing only 2 mm's, PEEL @ 6p + SCAP @ 6.5p with only 7k each on both the bid/ask sides and only 7000 in total at each of those prices . That's precious few shrs!

Maybe something interesting in the pipeline here.

there's a big hint here:-

Any deal with China Oil will see this multi-bag, tightly held stock so will be difficult to get volume on news.

SW - thanks....yes, that one's mine. I just finally managed to get into the search on Plus and spotted it....I was just on the point of posting here to that effect, and thanks anyhow.

Tenci is one I've watched for ages now. So far, over the years, all the Chinese stocks which I've dealt have turned out well. I spent a lot of time on business in the Far East for very many years and feel comfortable with stocks from that region .... but you can never be totally sure.

Better in that out I feel, although we'll see.

I just now bought a modest chunk of TNCI. The trade isn't showing on L2, but the ask jumped to 6p imediately after my buy, which was for less than 50,000.

Also, prior to placing the deal, it was a case of "the more I wanted to buy - the higher the price I would have to pay"

The value seems to be all about what the major shareholder is prepared to pay for the shares he doesn't hold,rather than where the share price sits on AIM.Transfers between directors took place at 20p plus.All very odd.DYOR
