K,

I have also started to offload my somewhat smaller holding. I sold 100K on Wednesday at 3p, and sold another 100K at 3.25p this lunchtime. I've also got quite a few more to do, but happy to let them run, and will sell into strength(hopefully).

I've still got alot more, lets hope EK doesn't have to wait 5 years to make 15% as I have done. Just look at what I was saying back in June 2005 when I established the thread 'Money for nothing and the assets for free'. Hopefully EK has been given the nod about a change that will bring a real return.

When you actually look at this TIR it does look absolutely great actually, have you seen its investments it has. On 31st Dec 2010 NAV was 4.8p but alot has risen like AFE since then. Could be a penny or two to be had here.

I think that this company is probably just a piggy bank for insiders.

I'm inching to sell off this stagnant stock, 4p would be nice, 3.5 will do. They are meant to like commodities and PMs, then why isn't that depreciating cash not held as physical metals? The only reason anyone bought this is because we didn't like cash, we liked commodities and metal. They have betrayed their shareholders.

year after year after year... share price at 50% discount to nav .. WHY?? Because directors dont give a stuff what the market thinks of them or what minority shareholders think. They dont even ses it as important to just occassionaly update the website. It would be hilarious if it was'nt so pathetic . They cant even tell us what the cash pile is doing !! Like, is it even earing interest ?? Dont wake them up. I think they have their heads stuck up a dead bears bum.

Nominated for 2 categories this year:
World's laziest Directors
World's most overpaid

Not a single change to investments
1 share split to deal with on the spreadsheet (divide quantity by 50)

how much shall we take in fees for that?

We need BR to make some good investments then. He has been fairly quiet over the last few years and not underwritten many new investments at all. Either he is biding his time or taking it a bit easier. After all the old master is knocking on a bit these days!

I was hopeful that CB would use this as a shell for a bigger transaction, but I'm not sure BR wants to "bet the house" on one big deal, so I'm not sure this will happen.

Well, at least they haven't lost us money. I bought at 1p in 2002 and they are now 3p with net assets of c5p. I agree that inactivity is very frustrating, but you can't really knock Bruce's record here over a decade or so.

It would be nice if they followed POLO's example and return the cash to the shareholders if they have nothing better to do with the funds. Since the junior stocks have all risen nicely over the past 3 months it is unlikely there are any good opportunities for the Tiger as they have been keener for investing in a 10 bagger rather than just a small gain. Can you have a word SK?

Hi Simon,

What do you think? clearly a lot rides on what TIR plan on doing with all the cash although sure there is a Birdy you can ask about that. If they were to do an Ascot type deal like RRR then we should be off to the races and feel sure they must have something similar planned? other wise they are being paid very well for managing a Building Society account....

Would be interested in your thoughts...

Morning EK,

As above I view as buying for cash value and portfolio in for free. You can pick up for 3.09p (my 40k this morning) at the mo' although I have struggled to buy in any volume over recent weeks.
